V28732 - Snow Joe 622 Ultra Electric Snow Thrower w/ 13 AMP Motor
Waste of money
I purchased this 1/2011 and used it for one storm.
It has sat in my basement for the last 2 years until this morning (2/2013).
We got hit with the blizzard of 2013 and Snow Joe failed to impress.
I took it out and put it to work. Shoveling 9" of fresh snow it had no problems
working for 30 minutes. I gave it a 30 minute break as I cleaned the snow off my car
and then went back to the Snow Joe to clear my driveway.
The Snow Joe started up and then died after running 5 seconds.
Now it won't run at all. Even after letting it sit and dry off for 5 hours.
I had an electric TORO that I threw away that was 10 years old.
I bought the Snow Joe because it was cheaper than rebuilding the Toro.
I should have rebuilt my Toro. :(
Never again will I buy an appliance like this from QVC.
A DREAM COME TRUE
I BOUGHT THIS SNOW JOE FOR MY HUSBAND HE JUST LOVES IT,TO BE HONEST SOMETIMES WE TRY TO BEAT EACH OTHER OUTSIDE TO USE IT FIRST. WE LOVE IT IT IS SO EASY TO USE AND VERY LIGHT WEIGHT. NOW HE CAN'T SAY ANYTHING THAT I'M ALWAYS SHOPPING FOR ME! THIS HAS HELPED OUR BACKS AND ARMS. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS YEARS AGO . I WOULD GIVE THIS A MILLION STARS THANKS SNOW JOE FOR A WONDERFUL MACHINE.
Back to the shovel!
Tried the Snow Joe last week during snowstorm #6.....the right rear wheel was missing a nut/bolt, therefore, the wheels constantly "slid together" making it impossible to maneuver. Also, the electric cord kept falling out of the plug in the handle and had to constantly re-plug the cord and re-start the blower. I called Customer Service and they could not have been more helpful. . They will credit my QCard, shipping as well, and have UPS pick the blower up for us. Even though we are disappointed in the Snow Joe, once again QVC has lived up to our expectations as far as superior customer service. What could be better - shiping reimbursed and pick-up from our front porch. No way would a "big box store" do this for you. No wonder why we are QVC customers for 25 years! Feel badly about the faulty blower but kudos to QVC! You take care of your faithful customers.
I really love my Snow Joe. I got this last winter and really put it to work and have already used it this winter. Couldn't do without it. It sure beats shoveling.
this is a great product. I would advise that you check the bolts every time you use it It tends to vibrate a little bit and they loosen up. I didn't know this and I lost several of mine and couldn't keep the handle on. I did call the company and they provided the parts but I had to wait 10 days for it to get here.
SNOW JOE 622 ELECTRIC SNOW THROWER
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SNOW THROWER IT'S THE NUTS! FROM MY SIDEWALK I CAN THROW SNOW ACCROSS THE STREET. YOU WOULD NOT THINK THIS LIGHTWEIGHT THROWER COULD DO THE JOB BUT IT DOES. HANDLED THE LAST SNOWFALL OF OVER 8" WITH NO PROBLEM. BUY THIS!!
P.S. DON'T EVEN THINK OF BUYING THE SMALLER MODEL I DID USED IT ONCE AND PUT IT IN THE GARBAGE.
No More Strain on my Back!!!!
This is truly a lifesaver on my back and I don't have to worry about purchasing gas which is an additional cost. After our storm in December, I was so sore from shoveling and my back was killing me. Two days after the storm, I saw this on QVC and didn't hesitate to purchase it. I am so glad I did as we had two more storms since then and another one on its way - Works perfect everytime! Thank you QVC!
We have had nothing but snow, snow, snow for the last 10 days. Our driveway is 50 feet long and 25 feet wide. Without this machine, we would be marooned. This machine is easy to use and does a fabulous job moving the snow. A true lifesaver.
Great snow thrower!
I bought this for my husband after the frist snow of the year. He used it all through the Bilizzard of 2010. It works great. It is not self-propelled so it is something that requires a great deal of pushing. It is not like the gas self propelled, but works well. We are so thrilled with this purchase.
could be better
I ordered the snow thrower after December's snow storm. Used it the first time last week and it did a good job. I wanted to get started again early this morning and the joint fixing T-bolt broke on the lower frame. There is still a lot more snow coming and I can not use the snow thrower. I tried calling the company for a new part and got an answering machine massage saying that the company is closed. This snow thrower worked fine the first time but it fell apart during the second use. I will try one more time to get a replacement part hope someone answers the phone. I hope
Best Purchase Ever
I am one of the folks living outside of Philadelphia. I've had my Snow Joe for about 3 years. As many know, we've had 3 huge snow storms this winter. The snowiest winter in history. Today is 2/10/10, the day of the Eastern Blizzard. I can't say enough about my little Snow Joe. It's worked great. The mix of sleet, snow and rain was a little different from "fluffy" snow, but I found coating the auger and chute with cooking spray helped a lot. My neighbors have a huge gas powered blower, and my Snow Joe can run side by side. (we proved this earlier today lol) Their big blowers had similar issues, even bigger issues, with the sleet and snow clogging the chute.. but that's something that I expected since I've had gas snow blowers Iin the past. (unless you're willing to spend huge amounts of cash to purchase a commercial machine)
Saved My Back
I live in northern VA. Over the past two weeks we have had 56 inches of snow--one of 29. My Snow Joe Delux kept my driveway and sidewalks clean! Exceedes all expectations. Only problem is with the instructions on how to start the device. You hold in on the button first and grip the hand brake while holding in on the button to start.
Powerful motor. Easy to use. Light weight. Paid for itself after the first snow.
