I totally love my bed. Never in my life have I ever missed sleeping in a bed but when I am not home I cannot wait to get back to this bed. I tested, tried, and compared so many beds in two years. This bed is worth every penny! I can adjust the angle of my bed during the night if needed and it is not loud enough to awaken my husband. LOVE!!!

Assembled the bed about a week ago, everything was there and arrived in good shape. As the assembly instructions cover more than one model you just need to be careful to reference the correct ones and it went together without a hitch. Love the split king so when one has a stuffy cold they can sleep on an incline while the other half can sleep as normal. The ability to dial in a firmness that eliminates the pressure spots on the hips and shoulders is a tremendous relief to morning back pain. Love this bed.

Been using it for 4 nights and so far it's great. Assembly is no big deal.
Rated 5 out of 5 by teeben FINALLY - Comfort achieved
My wife has a disabling back injury and over the last ten years we have had 4 mattresses. She would try one and it would be comfortable and then her condition would change and it would be uncomfortable. She couldn't sleep and, when she did, she would wake up in excruciating pain. We've had name brand mattresses, Stearns & Foster, Tempurpedic, and nothing has worked until now. We are ecstatic. Did I mention that she had to have extra firm and I don't like it that firm? We now have a mattress that we both love. We have the split king adjustable and yes, it took some work to assemble but it was $2000 less than the same bed from Sleep Number direct so I figured it would take some work. Surprisingly it took less time to assemble than I thought it would. Overall this is the answer to a decade long problem. As they say, happy wife, happy life!

Purchased this bed due to a chronic rare disease that requires me to sleep elevated. I was spending nights in chair or propped up on couch. After receiving this I started sleeping more than 4 hours a night. The assembly took a bit, and as mentioned would be nice if they gave you the correct assembly guides. Have a handy hubby who had it put together in a couple hours. Only have had a week so still adjusting numbers. We had a hard time justifying the cost of the bed, but if it improves your life it is worth it.

This bed is worth every penny and more. I have a bad back and my husband has sleep apnea. This bed has helped us both. I never was able to sleep more than 3 hours a night. I could not get comfortable. Now I am sleeping through the night and I am so comfortable I don't move. I wake in the same position that I go to sleep in. As for my husband, his doctor wanted him to sleep on an incline. This bed allows him to sleep at a slight incline. He is sleeping so much better. Feels well rested when he wakes up and ready to take on the world. We have had our bed almost a year. Wouldn't trade our bed for anything. Just sorry we waited so long to get it! Take a chance you won't regret it.

We looked for a more comfortable option to our inner spring mattress and found it with the gel memory adjustable split king. I've seen what people are saying but the truth is, no more pressure points, no more shifting in bed and every night is a great night's sleep. The assembly was easy and the only issue I had was with the foot support piece (it wasn't loose and it took several rounds of WD40 and personal application of two screwdrivers and some torque to loosen it- this experience may be unique). One loosened, the rest of the assembly was a breeze.
If you simply want to put a 'toe in the water' go to a sleep number store and try one. If you don't have one near, travel before you spend 5grand. Lastly, you can get the almost equivalent bed with other vendors, but the pricing and convience wont be the same- Go SleepNumber on QVC!

Was looking for a bed for my husband who has osteoporosis. Wanted something ajustable and of course comfortable. Couldn't deside between a tempur-pedic or sleep number, saw this one that had both what more could you ask for...wrong. Expensive mistake!

Great comfort and I do not find it hot to sleep on. Use less covers than before but more so because it is comfortable and keeps temperature more stable.

It was disappointing to find that the instruction material provided was not specific to this unit. For five thousand dollars one would expect to have a specific assembly manual, rather than have to go through mostly irrelevant instructions for other models. Customer support was inadequate to answer basic assembly questions, due in part to the fact that the lift mechanism is provided by a different manufacturer than the bed. One key photograph shown in the assembly instruction for the lift is exactly opposite of this particular unit which cannot be assembled as shown. The lift manufacturer was unable to answer assembly questions. Sleep number customer support basically said they didn't know how to assemble the unit and directed me to the lift manufacturer's own customer support. I finally ignored the instructions and relied on basic assembly knowledge. The various assembly instructions, including the DVD are a hodgepodge of miscellaneous materials that are annoyingly filled with irrelevant information.
Despite the claim that the new foam material has much improved ventilation, I find it uncomfortably hot to sleep on except in winter.

Ok. I was looking fwd to writing a review on this bed. We ordered ours early this month and first I'd like to comment on how fast it got here. 5 days before projected delivery which was great! I wasn't looking fwd to putting it together but it was really simple and my wife and I put it together in about 3 hours; adjustable bases and all. It's the most wonderful bed we've ever had and ever will have. I totally suggest going all the way and getting the bed you REALLY want. It IS an investment but boy is it comfortable. The gel foam is SO worth it. The adjustable base is even MORE worth it. 11 nights now sleeping on it; we look forward to the comfort every night! Some people complained about a chemical smell. It does have a smell but we had a great idea that worked like a charm. I recommend buying your bed from QVC vs going in the shop for a number of reasons. Maybe we'll write another review nearer the 30 day point. Don't be skeptical; get this bed!

We have had this a few days and really love it. We don't notice each other getting in & out of bed at all. Takes XL Twin Sheets (2 sets). We each now have our own sheet and don't have to fight over that either. :) Took us 4 hours to put together. Came in 8 boxes which was daunting at first, but just take it step by step & you'll be fine. I wake up now and can breathe - I'm not all stopped up from lying flat. My hips didn't hurt this morning either, as I also had my feet up just a little as well. The foam is like sleeping on a cloud. We've had a regular Sleep Number bed for 10 years and love it, but this is the ultimate in comfort due to the adjustable foundation. Glad we finally bit the bullet and did it.
