Rated 3 out of 5 by Tough to set up First off this is our first Sleep Number bed and we just set it up so I can't attest to the comfort of it yet. That being said there are few things you should know before buying this. Number one, the base lays flat on the floor. You either have to make an extra purchase and buy legs for the base or get a mattress frame (which is what we did). Second, it takes much longer then an hour to set it up. And you definitely need 2 people. The size of the boxes and weight of some of the pieces would be hard for older folks to manage. The base is a real pain to assemble. It's hard plastic and the pieces don't just slide together it takes a strong person to slide these pieces into place. Third, California King sheet sets are not sold in stores. We had to order everything online (a real pain). Overall I was surprised that the majority of this bed is plastic. I'm hoping for a $3000+ investment it's worth it. I don't think I could take the pain of taking this monster apart to return it....So I'm going to try it for a few months and give it a chance to see if it lives up to the hype. 06-06-15
