Sit-N-Cycle Low Resistance Aerobic Trainer by Smooth Fitness
Perfect for Me
Exercise is not something I like but I do like using this machine. I found it easy to assemble. I do wish it has a back to the seat. The seat does get uncomfortable, however, the bikes at the gym which are way more expensive can be uncomfortable on the tush after a long period of time.
You do need to be cautious getting on the bike as you could lose your balance. I have mine close to a wall to I get seated using the wall to lean on if necessary.
I can read, watch TV or play Candy Crush and the times goes quickly.
sending it back
i was excited to see this affordable option to keep my family active when in front of the tv but it is very uncomfortable and not adjustable. feel like your sliding off.
seat is too low
I was excited to try this out - quite a bit cheaper than a typical stationary bike. But the seat is not adjustable height. I recently had knee surgery and can't bend my knees to an acute angle. Because the seat is too low, I can't go around with my feet on the pedals because it brings my knees up too high and it hurts my knees. If the seat were higher it would be ok. I tried putting a pillow on the seat but can't get high enough even with a pillow.
The first exercise machine i can use everyday. love to use it as a watch tv.
I don't have many complaints. The seat is very hard, but you can sit in a different chair in front of it and use it like that. I wish there was more resistance as well, but the upside to the resistance being low on this is that you can make yourself pedal fast for as long as you want then slow it down for a while. It is easy for me to put in over an hour pedaling when I'm watching TV. So it does exactly what I hoped.
I did find it confusing to put together but my dad helped with that.
Wanted to love this but...
I am 5'4" and not overweight, I was looking forward to making time spent in front of the TV or at my desk more active. However, I feel like I'm sliding or leaning forward when using it, the seat seems to tilt forward a bit. I put a 2x4 under the front and that feeling went away, however, I feel as if I then compromised the stability of the product. The seat is also very hard, and as other reviewers have said, the pedals are way too small. My feet slide off frequently. Simply put, the ergonomics are just off in the design of this cycle, it is too uncomfortable.
Really liked this bike, BUT the seat was so uncomfortable. Hurt my bottom so bad that I couldn't ride it more than 15 mins. I am sending it back.
I do relate to the negative reviews on this piece of equiptment, as it does have its issues. The pedals are too small, it is also not pedaling smoothly, also not much resistance, however i am keeping mine because i find it to work for me. The footprint is small and i can hide it behind my recliner in my living room. I am able to handle it fine enough and it does what i purchased it for- is to keep me moving. my legs are restless at night and this helps take the edge off for me.
Like it but....
I was excited about my order. I put it together in ten minutes, and, still liked it, but, the pedal is dumb. Whenever you increase the tension, your feet slides off again and again. They should make a replacement pedal flat and large and it might even have an attached front holder where yout front of the tenniss fits into. That small adjustment would make it PERFECT!
I Like It!
First, when you put it together, follow the directions exactly. It comes with the tools, so it's out of the box and up. Second, I wasn't sure how sturdy it would be from the TV, but underneath the clean look of the plastic is a very sturdy steel frame. Third, it's no impact which means it's what you put into it. My pedaling is kind of jerky, too, because one side of my body is stronger. Fourth, they don't mention that I can sit in front of it and pedal with my arms just like at therapy.
The best thing- it's silent! No motor running; no whoosh or grind; just me. Which is really nice when I'm trying to watch the news.
Sit-N-Cycle was not a good value for my money. It was hard to stay on the seat while peddling, peddling was not smooth and you could not tighten the tension knob.
..interesting...not as bad as everyone is saying..
but......(1) color is perfect. (2) It DOES need to have a wider pedal. I cant wear sneakers and only can do it in my barefeet...but that is ok.... the only reason im not saying to add something to slip your foot into is because....someone could fall and hurt themselves. 3) the tension...i have it on the hardest one...but...it could be stronger...I have added a resistance band and it works my legs HARD. ,,,,overall I love it. oh....4) in the new improved models I think it would benfiical to make it easier to assemble and (5) for the floor base in the back to be wider...longer. (6) I think more people would benefit too, if it would hold more weight....
So overall, though I did list 6 things that could make it great, I wont be returning it. I do like it.
