Rated 3 out of 5 by Smaller than expected I had been saving for a long time and was finally able to buy this smoker for my husbands birthday. When it finally arrived we were both disappointed because it's half the size we were expecting it to be. QVC lists it as having 525 cubic inches of cooking space. We were under the impression that it would be wider, with more useable cooking space. However, what we discovered is that it just has a top and a bottom grate inside which when combined comes out to the 525 cubic inches. So you can't really fit much in there. It's a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures. 09-03-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best smoker and grill ever! I bought this in May . I waited all this time to write a review to make sure I was pleased and I am! I am still learning temperatures and times. I wipe it out each time I use it with no problem. I put heavy duty foil on the grease shield, keeps it nice and clean and I just remove it everytime, No scrubbing! The food tastes great. I like you do not have to worry about flareups, like other grills. I know it is expensive ,but it is worth it. 08-20-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Favorite QVC Purchase Ever! The Traeger Lone Star grill has been our favorite purchase from QVC. It's easy to use, comes with everything you need to get started and makes guests believe you're a grill master even though you're not. Even thick pieces of chicken breast come out juicy and flavorful every time. Steak tastes like it was made at your favorite steakhouse. We can't say enough about this product. Our only regret, not ordering it the first time we saw it on QVC. 08-14-16

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Smoker/Gril I ever had to date. I just love this smoker/grill. I never had anything cook and come out so good an juicy as this grill. I don't understand the bad reviews other then they are not giving it a chance to learn. My first pellet grill ever and I have to say there is a learning curve. Each time I use it I get better and better results. Only bad thing I have to say about this smoker/grill is the wide range of the temperature swing. +/- 25/50 deg's on my grill. I played with the P setting and got it close but still not satisfied. I just purchased the Pro controller and installed it today for it has good reviews but won"t be using till this weekend. I found out that pellet grills do not produce smoke if very little at a temp above 275/300. So if you want to smoke you have to put temp control on 180/225/250. Do your smoking here for how ever long you want to smoke then turn temp up to finish. I use a Maveric-733 remote temperature thermometer and just love it. For me it is the only way to cook meat to proper temp. All though the new Pro Controller come with 2 probes, I wont use them to cook with. I may...use them to see what grill temp is compared to readout on controller. I just cant wait when my wife and I go camping to use my Traeger. Yes, we camp a lot and it goes where ever we go. One more thing, I use aluminum to cover the grease tray and the grease bucket. "Heavy Duty". Don't skimp on this or you will regret it. So easy to clean up. I also change aluminum every 3 to 4 cooking's and use a Shark car vacuum to clean my grill and fire pot. Happy Traegering to all who love there Smoker/Grill. I would recommend this to all who love to smoke and grill. Not just Dad's. Have some videos and picture but don't know how to down size or change from MP4 to what QVC requires. Oh well... 08-06-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by This Grill Rocks! Watched the video. Was skeptical that the grill could do everything it claimed, in the manner it claimed. Figured if it was even half as good as it claimed to be, it would still be a great grill. Already have a gas grill, high end electric / electronic smoker, and charcoal grill. Each is good for it's own purpose, but having one that did the work of three would definitely be worth every penny of the asking price. Decided to take the plunge and buy it. Results were beyond my wildest expectations. My results even out-perform the video, which seems too good to be true. For example, loaded it up with 15 pounds of chicken and sausage, which was edge to edge on the lower rack and upper cooking rack as well. Had 12 chicken legs on a hanging chicken leg rack with more legs beneath it. The grill was definitely at full capacity. Smoked it for 2 hours and then turned up the heat to 375. Less than an hour later all the meat was cooked to a perfect 160 degrees internal temperature- nothing dried out or over cooked. My family who came for dinner couldn't believe that all I did was place the meat on the grill, turn it on to smoke and later turned up the heat- no turning, no rotating, no nothing. And the final product was the juiciest chicken that ever came off a grill with an awesome smokey flavor- perfectly done. I now have 2 grills (old propane and charcoal) and a smoker that need a new home. Can't imagine ever cooking or smoking meat any other way! Buy this grill- you will not regret it! 08-01-16
Rated 4 out of 5 by Smoketastic Needs better instructions for this price. Do not skip the 45 min initial burn. Ok. Change your paradigm for smoking. Temperature went beyond set temp but whe n smoke started it came down to temp. I started with cheap meat (chicken legs). It helps to use thermometer that sticks in left side of grill. No mention of this in instructions. It will not smoke continually so be aware of that. There is nothing wrong. Results were perfect. Have smoked brats, ribs and chicken with fantastic results. Pinterest has lots of recipes for pellet grills that help a great deal. I'm happy with purchase! 07-30-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Smoker Very easy to assemble. First thing I cooked was a prime rib. It turned out great. It was nice not going outside all the time to add wood. Easy to use and clean. I have used all types of smoker's and this one is the best. 07-30-16
