Clogau Gold introduces this white gold and blue sapphire ring in celebration of the engagement and subsequent marriage of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton. Containing the same rare Welsh gold used to create generations of the British royal family's wedding rings — a tradition since 1923 — each ring is precious and unique. Crafted from fine white gold and featuring an elegant 3.20 carat blue sapphire and 20 sparkling diamonds, this ring imitates the same exact ring given by Prince William to Catherine. Buyer beware I agree that this is a beautiful ring. But when I took the ring to my jeweler for an insurance appraisal, I was, to say the least, DISAPPOINTED to learn that the ring is valued at $1920, SIGNIFICANTLY less than QVC's "value" price and less than my purchase price. But I was HORRIFIED to learn that upon examination of the four prongs holding the sapphire, all were too light and only one prong had a proper shelf and actually supported the stone. The other 3 prongs had no shelf, and barely exerted enough pressure to hold the stone in place. The jeweler said that an impact on any one prong would probably result in loss of the sapphire. Looking at the prongs on high magnification, I can see exactly what he described. I won't return the ring because of it's sentimental value now, but I will be paying $225 to have all four prongs replaced with heavier ones that have the correct shelves. 10-23-11

I love it I waited several months for this ring and it was worth the wait. It is a quality ring and I find myself constantly looking at my fingers because it is beautiful. I've felt a connection to Princess Di because our weddings and our children were born around the same time. Elegant I recieved this ring yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that I got it earlier than expected. The color of the Sapphire is a beautiful blue and the diamonds (OMG) are very good quality. They are small however I knew this Thank you QVC. LOVE LOVE 07-13-11

Absolutely beautiful! I received the sapphire ring yesterday and I am so pleased with it. The sapphire is larger than I expected and the setting is a little thicker than most of the rings I've purchased from QVC. Originally I thought I'd send it back but I am definitely keeping it. I feel like a princess in it. Though pricey, I would definitely recomend this ring to anyone who asked. It was well worth the wait. 07-13-11
