Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not at all what I expected I purchased this to replace my 5 year old Kindle Fire. Thought it would be great for the size, all the advertised features and "ease of use." I am thoroughly disappointed and am returning it for two reasons: While I knew it was 8 gb memory, once all the pre-installed apps are there you are left with only 2 gb.... not enough to do a lot with and it is so SLOW it was ridiculous. Just to pull up a web page took several seconds - not the instant that I am used to. Will go buy a "real" replacement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice This tablet is so nice, the size is great? I have an iPad that is larger than this, but this is easier to handle. The only thing is no microphone to talk. The only thing you can talk is Alexa, you can talk to her but every other thing you have to type in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazon Fire tablet This tablet I see have some bad reviews. I have mostly kindles about 6 already but wanted to upgrade a little. I bought two, one for myself and another for my nine year old. Well I just do little things like looking up things online or play some cross stitch so it’s fine for what I use it for. Now my nine year old watches Netflix, plays football and soccer games she also uses you tube a lot!. Let me tell you!, for the price I am very surprised! I have a desktop, laptop and the 7” fire tablets. The tablets go just as fast as my desktop with no freezing during her playing a game or watching a movie. I can’t believe I only paid $40 for each of these great tablets! Even better she can take it with her in the car. If you are not sure about the tablet, buy it you won’t be disappointed! If you are send it back but I can bet you will not send it back with parental controls PLUS Alexia. You can’t go wrong!!!! We are both very happy!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY - will need to pay extra Do not buy - after using two - found out we need to pay $15 per tablet to stop advertisements. VERY DISAPPOINTED. If it looks too good to be true - it probably is.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Very Useful Bought this to help control my Philips Hue lights throughout the house. Will not connect with the Hue bridge so that use is gone. I have 7 Echoes in the home and could use this to help change alarms, etc. Seems this app does not sync with the app I use on my Android so it doesn't see all the settings I already have for my Echoes. So much for that use. Plus the Alexa app on the Fire 7 has such light print it is basically illegible. True for some other apps also. When you turn on the device, you don't go to the main screen but rather a screen with annoying ads for applications you can get. It's terribly annoying. This device might be nice for a beginner or child but is absolutely of no use to me. Not even good to take out of the home because you need wifi to use it. It's going back for a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sad After 2 years, the original fire tablet( purchased from qvc) conked out. Saw this one for a great one day only deal. It came fast! Set up was easy and it seemed ok. Not even 24 hrs into owning it and its malfunctioning. The screen freezes and its buffering for 10 minutes now. Called customer service and the rep says no more available so we cant get a replacement! It finally started to behave so i restarted it to see how it does. We have 30 days, and it only has a 90 day warranty with no extended warranty available which is a concern. so ill probably air on the side of caution and return it sadly.
