Rated 1 out of 5 by from jiggles and squeaks did not last My Bull Mastiff loved the toy when it jiggled and squeaked. He would carefully carry it the whole day and sleep next to the toy on his bed. Unfortunately, the toy promptly stopped jiggling and squeaking the second day we got it. I changed the batteries three times and the enclosure where the batteries go was not broken. Never worked again. Waste of money, and of course I cannot returned as the toy looks now used. Might as well get your dog a toy at the local pet shop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun toy I honestly didn't have a clue as to how my 2 dogs would react to it. As it turned out The 89 lb. Golden Retriever, Max is afraid of it when it is activated and the 18 lb. Cairn Terrier, Sammy wants to kill it. Sammy laid claim to it immediately and gave a very stern warning to Max not to mess with his new property. Sammy does a good job of carrying it around in his mouth since it's almost as big as he is. The sound effects are a bit strange though, at one point it sounds like it's going to choke to death. I gave it only 4 stars though because already, and I'm guessing it was Max that did it, there is a little puncture in the canvas part that looks like a bite mark. Max is known for trying to get any squeaky/noise maker out of toys...so I'm not sure how durable it will be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Give It Time When I first got this toy thought it was a big mistake as my 3 granfurbabies were scared to death of it. After a few weeks and several short tries...it is a big hit. I have to hide it because they get so rattled and bark so much I'm afraid my neighbors would complain. It seems like a lot of fun once they get used to it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Really thought my dog would like this but he was not impressed. Basically looked at it and walked away.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as promised I'm keeping this toy, not because its internal gimmick worked -- because it never did as described, not a squeak or jiggle or movement of any kind -- but because my dog LOVES the plush toy. As reviewers before, I even tried changing the batteries, but to no avail. Sorry, because it totally failed to produce its described purpose, if I could have given it a lower rating I would have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product Needs Work This is the second Shelter Shake toy I've ordered and the second one I am returning (this time for a refund). The inventor has a good idea and my dog loved the toy as long as it continued shaking and making noise. Unfortunately, both toys I ordered stopped working after several minutes. The instructions say to shake the toy and it will revive it - not so. I tried changing the batteries but this made no difference. The designers need to go back to the drawing board and improve this product. Until then, it's a "no" for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun but Falls apart in less than one play session Sorry to say that this toy didn't last more than one play session. Dog ate right through the cheap thread and got to the inside laugh maker. Its too big for small dogs -hard for them to grab and drag around. My dog is 11 lb Silky Terrier/Maltese/Yorkie. I must say the wiggle and giggle was super funny and very attractive for my dog, but the toy was too easy to destroy. We don't have it anymore, had to toss because it became unusable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Find! Let's face it, dog lovers! We spoil our dogs and this my rescue's favorite! When he goes to his "toy box", this is the first one chosen! Will take a couple of times for your dog to get used to but well worth the money! I would buy an extra in case they run out!!
