Shark Rocket Stick Vacuum
I love this vacuum!
This is an awesome vacuum. I also have a Dyson so when I got the Shark I did an experiment. I have 2 cats. I vacuumed the living room first with the Dyson and then with the Shark. The shark sucked up 2 canisters worth of cat hair and stuff!!! I was shocked. I can rest assured knowing that my Shark is really vacuuming my rugs. It has good power and propulsion without your having to push it, so it does the work for you (though it takes a bit of muscle to guide it). It is super easy to detach the handheld motor part of the vacuum to get into narrow areas where the head won't fit - like in the space between furniture or you can plug the upholstery tool to the handheld to vacuum a cat tree. It can vacuum my entire house - carpeting, bare floors and area rugs. This little baby can reach lots of places most vacuums can't...it pivots to go around furniture, and because its head is small it can go under furniture. It is light enough to easily carry upstairs and to vacuum the stairs. That said, it is a bit of an arm and hand workout to hold it but I think its a win-win...get the house vacuumed and get a bit of a workout. But if you have any hand or arm problems, you may want to get a different vacuum. It has a long cord so I only need to plug it in once to vacuum the entire first or second floor. One last note - this vacuum does not stand up on its own, but its easy to prop it up against the wall. I love this vacuum! My Dyson is going bye-bye.
Totally LOVE this Shark! My husband purchased me a Kirby a few years ago and it is a piece a junk after going over my bedroom carpet with this Shark! It got stuff out of my carpet I wouldn't have ever dreamed was there! I am a serious vac freak too! This isn't a mistake purchase! Buy it!!
Where have you been all my life
I have had just about every vacuum cleaner there is...dragging them around. This drags me around and picks up dirt that I absolutely cant believe. It is lightweight, maneuverable and I absolutely, totally and completely love it. It has amazing power..gets into all the little nooks and crannies.
If you are AT ALL wondering whether or not to purchase the Shark Rocket Stick Vacuum; stop wondering. I am confident you will appreciate and be so very happy you ordered. This is my lifesaver and goto, for all my vacuuming. The suction is better than my big vacuum; making sure to meet my " overly high" expectations of perfectly vacuumed carpets....complete with LINES......love, love, love. But don't take my word for it....as this is merely my opinion;). Get this home, use it, love it, and repeat:)!! God Bless your hearts.
I swear by Dyson an thought i would try a shark after many years, my past experience was not good.
I bought this to leave on the 2nd floor, to clean all my bedrooms and hall and stairwell. we are just 2 people so its never really dirty.
This shark lasted all of 3 uses and then started to perform on a very low level . I wish i kept the box i would have sent it right back! its was such a waste of money!
Buyer Beware!!! Its a dude that doesn't work !
Not Worth It
Not Enough Power to Tackle Much Of Anything, : / Disappointed.
Not best for older people
I would not recommend this vacuum to older women, using this vacuum will make your shoulder and arm ache, it is top heavy. It will not stand up, you have to lay it down in the floor just to pull out a chair.
Not worth the money
Good Points: gets under furniture with ease and easy to carry.
Bad points: Top heavy, hard to keep brush head on the floor; very tiring to use after only a few minutes; does not clean better than other less expensive vacuums I own. The vac does not stand on it's own, so you have to lay it down if you need to move something. It must be unplugged to empty container and container must be detached to store.
super little vac
This Shark surprised me by how powerful it is. Now, it is what it is - not a big, heavy floor vac, and doesn't have a wide beater or opening, so it is maybe not what you use to do periodic deep vacuuming and grooming of wall-to-wall. But it's flexible, drops down low, gets around lots of chair legs, vacuums dust from hard floors with very little "blow-back", and it really moves! I got this for doing stairs and upholstery as well, and for dusting the tops of cabinets while up on a ladder, and it's superior for all that, and much more convenient than a conventional vac with attachments. There are other vacs with a similar design, but the price on this one is excellent given its performance. And for the "problem" of it not standing up on its own, if you detach the top part and hang it from the hook on the pole, near the bottom part, it's not top heavy any more and will keep its balance.
This stick vac FAR exceeded my expectations! I have 3 cats and a dog. My tiny furballs shed so much fur a could start a sweater company in my home. I have all tile in my house, and I cannot believe how much fur I vacuum up in just one day. It fills the entire canister. It has great suction, even when the canister is full . I love that it has all the attachments so I can get into hard to reach places as well. This is just an all around great vac for the price.
*I've had this vacuum since August and use it EVERY day
i have used this vaccum for about 4 weeks and highly recommend it. It is VERY powerful, and does an outstanding job of picking up the dirt and cleaning my carpets. The swivel feature makes it so easy to control and clean all those nooks and crannies. I have switched from a bigger vaccum to using this exclusively in my home. Also, it is light weight and easy to handle! This is much better than the Dyson stick vacuum I had. I gave the Dyson away because this Shark is much more powerful, and you plug it into the electric wall outlet, and not a charger. Don't hesitate...and buy it! You will be glad you did.
Pros and Cons
I've had this vacuum for over a month and on the whole I like it but there are definitely some pros and cons to it. It is light, has powerful pick up and it great for getting under things with its low profile. Also nice the way the head swivels to get under cabinets. But remember the head is much smaller than larger vacuums which is great for getting into tight places but you do have to go back and forth over an area more times cuz the width of the head is smaller. And it is very much self-propelling. As some reviewers have already noted it does NOT stand up on its own which was NOT made clear in the sales presentation but I'm getting used to laying it down. It is NOT good for vacuuming the inside of the car. The "motor/head" is too large to get in tight spaces. It IS top heavy and your arm/wrist can get fatigued because of that. I also don't like that the cord is attached to the top area cuz when you go to empty the dust cup you have to drag this long cord with you to the trash can. No real place for the attachments. They give you a bag to put them in though. I have not used the "mop head" attachment as I don't the type of floors to use that on. And for some it may be a bit loud. So I AM glad I have it but it wasn't as "wonderful" as it was made out to be, which is true of so many things in life!
