I got this for my nephew and he loves it. I was trying to find more fish and noticed that some Robofish sets have a different look. The fish in the set on another website don't have the lightning bolts and have more smile-y faces. I wonder if there's a difference.
My only negative is that the tank doesn't fold up once you have the tube in place. It flattens but does not fold.

I purchased one of these because I run a non-profit animal rescue for feral (wild) cats and kittens. I set it up last night, and charged the two fish. It took less than two minutes to get the bowl up and filled with water, and just a half hour to charge the fish. I put the bowl on a very large waterproof pad in my kitchen and put one of the fish in it. One of my cats plays in the water bowl, so I figured he would be in this bowl. You don't need a waterproof pad otherwise - I was just anticipating that they would splash the water out of the bowl. The fish are very animated and they swim parallel, then dive, then around the bowl. It was mesmerizing. I took picture after picture of all the different cats and kittens who came around to check it out. I went to bed and this morning found lots of water on the waterproof pad, and the fish I had left in there was on the floor, about six feet from the bowl. He had been successfully "hunted." I put another fully-charged fish in the tank and immediately five cats and kittens surrounded the bowl. I have a Catio outside (12' x 16' x 8') so I went online this morning and bought two more of these. Every animal rescue for cats should have one of these. Brilliant invention. Please have a category that says "Pets" [or dog/cats] under the question "Who would this be a perfect gift for?"

I actually bought this for my 10 month old kitten who demands a lot of attention. She is mesmerized by the fish. I wanted a distraction for her when my other cats were tired and fed up with her. Even my 14 year old cat who could care less about playing is now entertained. I gave it a four star because the fish do not sit tightly in the battery charger, however after reading a previous review about using a rubber band to anchor them in their chargers I might like them even more!

I purchase this toy for a good friend who runs a daycare. I thought that it was so cute and perfect for inquisitive little ones. I was right. She told me that they loved it. The children each had a turn capturing a fish. This toy is great on so many levels. I suspect you could buy it and just use the fish in your own aquarium. That would end having to clean one because that's how real these fish react. You just cannot go wrong with this toy.

Fish wouldn't stay lit on charger as it appeared to slip off the connection. Used in pool but it stayed more to sides.

This is more than a great toy. I put them in a clear punch bowl and they are very decorative and a delight to even adults that see them on my dining room table. I bought 2 sets for me and 2 as gifts to children. Well worth the price and very entertaining.

The fish are very realistic! Wonderful entertainment for my young granddaughters. The only downside is the need for 6 double A batteries that I was not aware of before purchase.
Rated 5 out of 5 by MARDES Fun! (For the Cats....)
I actually bought this for my two indoor cats that are easily bored. They LOVE to watch these little fish swim around. The tank is a little big and made of foldable plastic. I was afraid the cats would collapse the sides so I filled a bathroom sink with water and put the fish in it. The fish swim around really well and last a good hour or so on one charge. I LOVE that the fish are rechargeable and only take about 30 minutes to charge up. The fish don't sit tightly in the charger though (fish light up when charging properly), easily fixed with a rubber band to hold them in. (Be careful not to throw away the instructions before reading - a hard to find, tiny little sheet encased in one of the fish packaging.) I can see this being a great toy for kids. The tank is large and I think kids would love decorating it with other fish tank décor (rocks, plastic seaweed, etc. that can be purchased at any pet store). And no mess that comes with live fish (the smell, cleaning the tank, de-chlorinating the water, feeding, and flushing the ones that go belly up - LOL!) The ZURU rechargeable Robofish are really hard to find. This was a good value for the price to get two fish.
