THE SCREW HEADS ON THE BOTTOM STICK OUT....TOO ROUGH TO SET ON FURNITURE. From the presentation, I thought it would be sturdy, but not so, or at least using as a serving piece. Since I will be utilizing this as a display unit on my coffee table, I will first have to add something such as heavy felt to the bottom. Quality is just so and so, thus price too much. So disappointed, mostly because I really adore the Scott brothers!!

I would agree with the first reviewer: I loved the style- exactly what I
was looking for but the chemical odor was so bad I could smell it before I
opened the box (and I don't have a sensitive nose).
Lovely lovely but would not be comfortable using it around food.

I had just been thinking that I wanted a tray to use on my antique bedside table to corral items and protect it from wear and tear. Low & behold, there were the Scott Brothers on QVC with their new trays suggesting their many uses, including on the nightstand. I considered it a sign and ordered both (returning the Tobacco Brown, finish was damaged). I love the Charlestown Gray color contrasted with the dark metal, and of course the rope handles. I found the price to be reasonable. I probably would have paid around the same amount, give or take, had I gone to the home goods store. I would not describe it as "high end" however it is practical and good looking, and serves the purpose.
It's roomy enough to fit books, a reading lamp, and a cup of tea.

I received this today, (5/27), and returning it tomorrow. I don't think the quality was that good, and it had a terrible chemical odor which I don't think would be safe around food items, even if it did air out. I have not been that impressed with the Scott Living line for the higher-end prices they charge!
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jaggielynn Perfect for my coffee table
I love this, i just redid my living room and this goes perfectly. Yes, I use the Scott Brothers outdoor items inside my home. I love it. The rope handles are a great accent, the black outer rim gives it crisp look and the painted looking wood grains add that touch of rustic that I love. I'm sure this would go great outside, but I love it on my coffee table. i even have the small hanging latern they sell sitting in it with plenty of room to add more items.
