SIMPLY THE BEST~ With out question this has to be the BEST Cookbook ever from the "Q"! The recipes are easy to follow, and the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie recipe is worth every penny. This just needs to be in every cookbook collection, it truly is a go to volume. And just wait until you try the pickle recipes, so simple and delicious. For the first time in my life I understand what all the fuss has been about with grits~ yum! Wait until you taste the Pound Cake, and follow it up with the Peach Cobbler on another day~ they are taste sensations! 02-16-12

Sara Foster's Southern Kitchen Having seen Sara many times on Martha Stewart and enjoyed her recipes from the show its nice to see her own cookbook now being marketed. Her restaurants down South are famous for wonderful foods that we just don't take time to make.....now it's time to sit back, read a little and enjoy a meal that is not your every day cooking. 06-13-11

Unsure of this book.. I was so excited to receive this as it had been an advanced order item. I received it yesterday and it is huge! Nice cover picture of pretty tomatoes. BUT..am not convinced this is a true southern style book. The words on the cover under the title says "SOULFUL TRADITIONAL SEASONAL.." The recipes contain a lot of things I wouldn't think of as soulful or southern: many with arugala, figs and goat cheese..goat cheese?? yuk. There are probably enough great recipes that I'll most likely keep it. Just wasn't what I had expected.. 04-10-11
