Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Get Caught My first negative review ever. I waited over 2 years and read all the reviews for this phone and program. I wish I'd followed my initial instincts. The phone itself is good and can be purchased at any big box store for under $100.00. The customer experience was dismal and the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere. Hours on the phone, constantly being disconnected and outright lies from the overseas service techs. My friend's phone number of 32 years mysteriously got lost in the process of trying to set up this phone. We were never able to retrieve that number. I am appalled that QVC still associates with TracFone. They're even sold on 'the other' home shopping channel...please, drop this product and keep loyal customers like me happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst thing I ever purchased I purchased 3 of these phones for Christmas. They were activated as of January 13,2017. One was mine, one was my husbands and one was for my sister. All of the phones had various problems, not the phone per se but with the service. One phone in less than a month used all 1200 minutes of data. Tracphone claimed it was used on facebook ,Instagram, twitter etc. I don't have an intsgram or twitter account and when I use my facebook, I only use my laptop computer. You are transferred from person to person, none of whom are in this country, and they are not able to help. They tell you its gone, not their fault,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Product and Service Just a little background. I've been a tracfone customer for several years. I've never had an issue with their phones and service. I decided to replace my son's Moto E with this Galaxy Luna for xmas. He very much enjoyed the phone when it worked properly. Less than two weeks after activating it, I asked him if he got my text message and he said no. I checked his phone and found that he was not receiving any service because of a "Invalid SIM card error". I called tracfone and they told me that they would send me a new SIM card. After the new SIM card arrived I had contacted tracfone to activate it, which they did. The phone worked that evening, but less than 24 hours the phone wouldn't work again because of the same "invalid SIM card error. I called tracfone back and they decided that they would send another SIM card, so I ended up waiting another week for it. When that SIM card arrived, I activated it with a tracfone rep and told him if this one doesn't work I wanted a new phone, which he agreed that if that was the case they would provide me one. My son's new phone lasted maybe 3-4 days before the "invalid SIM card" message appeared again leaving his phone useless. Make matters worse he was confused after school on whether to walk home or if he was going to be picked up and my wife had to go looking for him when he didn't show up at home. All this confusion could have simply been avoided if he had a working cell phone. Livid that this nonsense was going on for over a month now, I called tracfone and demanded a new phone. The rep was very apologetic and told me they would send out a new phone in 2 days. Well it's been almost 2 weeks and the phone still has yet to be delivered. They web site told me 3-5 days when I searched my ticket. When I call the automated operator tells me it was sent and gives me an invalid tracking number. I called tracfone to complain and ask what the status of this delivery was and the rep told me that a shipping label was created and that it was pending leaving a warehouse somewhere in Indiana. He mentioned that I should give it 2 weeks to arrive. This nonsense has really tested my patience for nearly 2 months and I have little faith that we will ever get a replacement phone that works correctly. I feel badly for my 11 year old son who could really use a phone because of participating in several different after school activities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good phone This is a nice phone does everything as advertised. Takes pictures just fine, I have not shot any video as of yet. Plenty of space for apps, I have not crashed it yet. In GPS mode I have yet to have it black out or fail, a little trouble with the voice not giving turn instructions. Con No way to find out what model this is equal to such as Samsung note5 or 6 etc. So trying to get a case for it you have to try one at a time. Also as it is a tracfone you do not get any Samsung benefits like having the contents backed up on your E-mail etc. Also very disappointed that it will not fit into the Oculist rift VR. That part is the bummer as I was looking forward to it. This is my first real smart phone and for me not having a contract and having a phone that does just about everything my kids phone does. I do like this phone as the battery lasts a fair amount of time, the battery saving mode is real nice. All in all if I could redo it I might buy the Samsung 7 but I would not hesitate to purchases another one if I had to. Larry

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've been a Tracfone customer for 10 years I've been a Tracfone customer for 10 years, and it has definitely gotten easier, and smoother each time. Often, it is cheaper to get a whole new phone from QVC, which includes the minutes than if I were to purchase the minutes alone, and that is what I have done three times now. I was really pretty content with my LG and didn't want to hassle with having to enter in all my contacts all over again, so I was so surprised when this time all my contacts transferred over! I didn't have to do anything! The transition from one phone to another - online - only took a few minutes to do, and was VERY easy, when you follow the instructions on the red card in your box and follow the prompts online. I think what makes it easiest is already being a customer; already having a phone; and keeping the same number. It really is that fast and simple. I'm learning to get used to the Samsung Galaxy Luna and it will take some getting used to. The LG was so very simple, but then is also not as sophisticated as the Samsung. I do, however, REALLY miss not having a flashlight on this new phone as it was very helpful to me and I used it every night. Oh well..small change. I think some of the one and two star reviews most often come from those who are new to the service; are changing service providers; phones; and phone numbers and that does take some time. I know - because I went through it ten years ago. But luckily, it was only then and not since. I purchased a fabulous case for it from Amazon and it came today. I love Tracfone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Good Buy - So far, so good I must confess I haven't used up much of my time yet as I don't use it too often. It does work well though and I think it's a good phone. No problem getting my email, getting on the internet or taking pictures. It was easy to set up and the only snag was getting my tracfone account set up to check my minutes used, etc. I had to make three phone calls to their customer service to get it to work but it's fine now. All in all, I think it's a good deal. Basically you paid for the minutes and got a free phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up I got this phone this afternoon and it was up and running in 15 minutes. The longest part was setting the phone up. I had my red card handy and followed the instructions on the blue Tracfone card. Got my number, minutes were already downloaded onto the phone, and I was all set. I never even had to talk to anyone. Apps and settings easy to follow and use. Reading the other reviews I was a little worried about making this purchase, but it was smooth sailing right out of the box. I have been a Tracfone customer for about 5 years now. This is my first Samsung and I opted to get a new phone number and start fresh. My LG phone up and died on me. So I lost everything anyway. I am pleased and recommend this phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Received Defective Phone Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my Mother who would only be using the calling feature in emergencies. Phone would not make or receive calls although 4 different (English as second language) Trac Fone reps we spoke to assured us we were in an excellent coverage area. Trac Fone reps said the problem is with the device or phone itself as mine did not show a PRL number under settings to show it is receiving a signal from nearby Verizon towers. Trac Fone says we were sent a defective device, and they would not replace it as it was not purchased from them. So back it goes to QVC.
