Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great soundbar with some caveats I've had this soundbar for around six months now and overall have been very happy with it. The Atmos is excellent with sounds coming from all over the room and thunderous bass from the sub. I like the design and the wireless speakers feature. I really like to crank up my movies and this item has no problem handling my desire to go deaf. As well, I like the Samsung Multiroom app tha allows you to update the system and make adjustments with the equalizer. That said, there are drawbacks which are impossible to ignore for a consumer, but don't seem to be important to Samsung. 1. DTS:X. Everyone mentions it, everyone wants it, yet we still don't have it. I'm not sure why Samsung can't provide a firmware update to rectify this glaring omission, but as another reviewer stated: doing so would dramatically increase the satisfaction amongst users. Dolby Atmos is becoming more prevalent on discs and in streaming, but we really miss out on having the best audio option available for films like the Harry Potter series, Serenity, and Apollo 13. 2. Connectivity with the rear speakers. Another common theme in reviews and on message boards for this soundbar is the fact that the rear speakers can be troublesome at times. It's always been an easy fix for me, personally: I just turn the system off and back on and that usually gets things back in working order. For the first time, I experienced an issue with the sound going out altogether three times while watching Blade Runner 2049 in Atmos last night. I haven't seen anyone else mention this, so I assume it is the soundbar. Again, this is the first time it's happened, so I'm hoping it's not a recurring problem. While I love the look and sound from this product, it would be hard for me to recommend it for anyone who takes movie-watching seriously. But anyone who would be in the market for this soundbar would do just that. I'm begging you, Samsung. Give us DTS:X... please! You did great by implementing DTS with the last firmware update, so please reward those of us who have invested in your product with the whole enchilada. Then, I can give the K950 the score it deserves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Soundbar Dolby Atmos sounds incredible. Fills the room up completely with sound. My old surround system did not come close to this sound. Seup is really easy with the hdmi included cable. Display is very bright and simple. The design is sort of boxey but looks nice with the grill front and brushed aluminum on the sides. A bit pricey but worth the money. Rear speakers have not lost connectivity once since its been hooked up.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lack of Dolby Atmos and Vision Via HDMI ARC While the sound might be pretty good for a bar with conventional 5.1 content this bar has one major issue. it does not support dolby atmos or vision processing via the HDMI ARC. This is a huge oversight considering most 2016 & onward smart TVs support dolby atmos / vision streaming apps (netflix / vudu / amazon etc). So there is no way for this sound bar to receive dolby atmos signal via its ARC HDMI connected to your TV. The sound bar does not support Dolby Vision pass thru either, only HDR10. So anyone with a Dolby Vision UHD bluray player cannot pass the DV signal through the sound bar. This means you have to have 2 HDMI outs from your UHD player (1 to go to the soundbar and the other to your tv). Pretty embarrassing stuff really from Samsung, they should take a really hard look at themselves if this is the best soundbar they can come up with.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost perfect... This soundbar sounds fantastic in Dolby 5.1 and Dolby Atmos formats. Set-up is very simple and the whole wireless experience really makes for a great experience for the average consumer. There are unfortunately a few drawbacks with this product. The first is that I have not been able to pass 2160p RGB mode from the PS4 Pro, through the soundbar, to the TV (It does work perfectly when I connect directly from PS4 to TV, but the only HDMI port that uses HDR is the ARC port, making this difficult to remedy). Another Issue that I have found with this soundbar is that it is lacking support for DTS-X and DTS 5.1. I am not sure if this is a hardware or software issue, but I believe that if Samsung was to release a firmware update to improve this issue then they would have a far better collection of reviews on this product. My own personal suggestion is for Samsung to make this a paid firmware update that costs somewhere around 50-100$ so that customers have the option to update their system if they choose to. My overall experience with this system has been very positive, and the sound quality is great, but for the price that this system is sold for, consumers should be given full access to both Dolby and DTS surround formats. Hopefully this can be fixed in the near future!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rear Speakers do not Work / No Connectivity The rear speakers (incl. sub woofer) are always losing connection. I have tried every trick in the book and manually connected them over and over again. Their range is next to nothing, and will flash blue or stay a solid red for their connectivity status and not play a sound. For those rare times when I move the speakers really close immediately after manually connecting them, you may occasionally hear a faint sound coming from them, even after playing a Dolby Atmos program on supported devices. I suppose my 150 mbps internet and router next to the TV is causing interference, but I need that for my gaming and streaming. The speakers are of good quality, but the software and connectivity hardware are NOT up to par. I couldn't even imagine how someone could buy this before they came out with basic 5.1 DTS support.
