Samsung 12.3" Chromebook Plus Touch - Hexa-Core, 4GB RAM, 32GB is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mighty Web Machine I absolutely love my Chromebook Plus as a capable on the go high resolution web design tool. I am able to use this to demo sites for clients and debug code anywhere using web tools. The lack of Adobe tools seems to be surmountable with The availability of Android apps attached to my Creative Cloid account and the battery life is phenomenal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ez To Use Really love this Chromebook. It is so ez to use and the screen is so crisp and clear. It does well for everything I use it for. It is even compatible with my HP printer. So far all apps recognize it as a laptop. The only thing I've found I don't like is....I can't listen to YouTube and browse at same time. So, I browse on Chromebook, and listen to YouTube music on my phone. Worth the purchase to me...I've bought cheap laptop/tablets in the past and they only lasted 6 to 8 months. Not to mention, I do not want a laptop with Windows 10 on it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Down-sides outweigh feature set I got this 8 months ago - first impression was great when it arrived, but the CONs become overwhelming over time. Pros : - screen format, stylus, android compatible, performance, convertible flip.... Cons : - Bluetooth is intermittent/weak, Screen dimmer has no setting between "off" and "Too bright at night", not enough ports, no USB type A, no Video Out, no SD card. Yes, you can get hub/adapter/dongles to hang off the side of the notebook, but they will take more space than the notebook itself, will add up to significant $$$, and will definitely break the port in time. This Notebook would have been great, but it is simply too frustrating to go without thumb-drive, mouse, SD cards, external monitors/projectors, and other peripherals. I hated to lose the screen & Stylus from the Samsung, but competitor product performs similarly, is smaller, and has all the ports and slots a normal user needs *built in*.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wi-Fi Issues These units appear to be plagued by a wi-fi issue. I had 2 in a row where I was not able to get above 1/2 meg/sec download. Updating Chrome OS and the firmware did not provide a fix. Great concept, but until the wi-fi issue is resolved, not very useful. I believe the units I had were manufactured in early 2017, so perhaps the newer units have this issue corrected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice product Overall this is a nice product. Love the design and the sleek metal case. Nice and lightweight for using on your lap. I bought it for watching movies/videos, which it is a perfect size for that. I like that I can use it tent style without it falling over. Unfortunately, this also brings up the weakness. The sound doesn't seem very loud or robust to me. I actually have to connect a Bluetooth speaker to hear the sound clearly. One last thing...the Wifi connection is spotty. I am constantly turning it on and off to reconnect, and the signal strength is not as good as my Galaxy tab that I have in the same room.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised I bought this to replace my Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 which was on its' last legs. I had pretty much settled on the GS3 Tablet when I discovered the Chromebooks with Android. I read a ton of reviews and went to a local electronics store to play with this one, the Pro version and looked at the Asus Chromebook before deciding to give it a try. I love the large screen (that had been my sole hesitation to bite the bullet with the GS3 tablet having spent the past 3+ years with the 12" tablet). The display is beautiful and the majority of Android apps I use work flawlessly on this Chromebook. For the few apps that aren't supported there is either a Chrome extension or app or I just use the website if available. I have everything I want and had on the tablet on this Chromebook. One of the negatives I had seen on many reviews was poor speaker quality, particularly with regard to the volume level - people complained it was not loud enough. I find them to be ok: adequate, not bad, but not great. I can listen to a movie without needing to use a headphone or connect an external speaker. However, I wouldn't want to spend a lot of time listening to music through these speakers. The keyboard is okay, not as roomy as my laptop but certainly much better than the keyboard for the GS3 or similar sized device. It is a bit cramped so lots of typo's that need to be fixed. Which leads me to: why the heck is there no Delete key!? Yes, there is a shortcut for delete but still, come on!! Also, the backspace key is the size of all the other keys - being used to a larger backspace key I frequently hit the "equal" sign key instead. The Chromebook is snappy and the apps work as well as they did on my former Android tablet. One feature I really like is having the built-in/attached keyboard. I had the Samsung keyboard for the Pro 12.2. However, the tablet just sat in a slot with a short back to support it. It frequently got knocked over, feel out or otherwise had issues staying upright. This is my first Chromebook. I found it really easy to set up, download apps and get started. Way easier than setting up a Windows laptop. Some aspects of Chrome are intuitive and others have required that I google to find the solution (Copy and Paste is an example). I would have preferred to have more storage. 32 G is ok until you start downloading movies, books and magazines, 64 G version would be much better. One of the downsides of the Chromebook/Android solution is that Android apps will not save to or read data saved to the micro SD card. That is unfortunate and something I hope Android and Chrome address in a future update. I had all my movies on a micro SD card on my Android tablet (Netflix and Play Movies had no issue reading the data) so I know its' possible to have it work that way. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend this Chromebook if you surf the web, use social media, and want the added benefit of Android apps.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be Ready to Get Repaired...Constantly I will admit that I was an early convert to Chromebooks. I was excited about the Chromebook Plus, it's body is sleek, thin, and lightweight, and the conversion into a tablet is great. A negative, the speakers are on the bottom of the computer, muting everything you listen to, but that is a small negative. However, I have owned this computer for nine months, and it has had to be sent in twice, leaving me without a computer I need for work for over a month. The first time, the touchscreen completely stopped working. I sent it in and it was repaired, but took two weeks. Not even six months later, the screen started opening and closing tabs, shaking, changing the volume, making the computer unusable. For a "superior" chromebook, it has completely missed the mark, completely unusable. Please, just save yourself the time and energy, and buy a different computer. Not worth the headache, and the heartache. I have gone from recommending a Samsung Chromebook to everyone I know, to telling them to stay away at all cost. It is not worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great device for 21st century users Disclaimer - if possible I would have given this a 4.5 overall. Not quite "5".! The physical design is great. I love the screen. Love the flexible 'convertible' design (with some caveats below). The keyboard is not a full-size, mechanical switch keyboard (duh!), but it's certainly sufficient for me. I've been using a Chromebook for a couple of years as a personal device to tote along with my corporate anchor (laptop). That, and the fact that I'm a "Google" user, means that I'm pretty comfortable with the Chromebook as a device. The test was to see if I could use the features of this Chromebook Plus as a primary device. The Android apps are great. I see occasional issues with some of the apps scaling to fit the larger screen, but for the most part they work as advertised. A few of the Chromebook apps don't work perfectly with the touch screen. I haven't really used the pen/stylus much. Overall - I use this Chromebook everyday. I set it up tent-style to read the news while I'm eating breakfast. I use it periodically throughout the day to read email and/or news setup as a laptop while I'm working on my corporate Windows laptop or my personal Linux desktop. In the evening i'm reading with the device in 'tablet' mode. Definitely happy with it. Will probably move my wife from a Windows laptop to a Chromebook Plus sometime in the next few months
