Disappointed
I had high hopes for these, and think the concept is a great idea. However; when I tried them on, the bifocal part of the lens was too high. I found I had to lower my chin and raise my eyes for normal distance vision. The bifocal area is about half way up the lens, which I think is too high for most people. I hope the manufacturers will redesign these, because it's a great idea--but needs to be improved on. The quality and design were more than satisfactory, so I gave them 2 stars, but the bifocal portions of the lenses need to be lower in order to acheive the purpose for which they were designed.

Somewhat Acceptable
. I was happy with the fashion bifocal sunglasses by Hummingbird until I wore one set out in a very short span of time. The animal print application from the fashion pair peeled off of the plastic. Underneath the brownish animal print was clear plastic. Then shortly after the covering of the clear plastic pealed off the frame broke above the bridge of the nose. This was not due to careless or improver care of the glasses. The blue/gray frame pair of glasses seems to be wearing better. The black frame pair of fashion glasses has proven to be a problem because the bifocal section is too high for my eyesight. This is a great idea because I appreciate having sun glasses that can be worn with a bifocal. Placement of the biofocal needs to be reviewed or adjusted for the wearer.

These glasses have found their forever home!
I wish I could buy my regular glasses from this company ( hint hint)! I purchased the fashion and classic and love them both. Make more for indoors please.

not exactly great
I purchased these glasses for driving, and the ability to read the dash while driving, which they have accomplished. However, they are not straight, not aligned properly, therefore uncomfortable. That's the reason for only a 3.

Just what I needed!!!!!
This is a good value and I love these - I've never had bifocal sunglasses before - didn't even know they made them!!!! I definitely liked the black pair and was hesitant about the others - but they turned out to be just as nice too! If you need to sometimes (quickly) read something while driving - buy these!!!!!

Should Have Listened
Wanted to love these, but as others have said, the bifocal is way too high. Did no one test them before marketing? Sending back.

Not impressed
I own a few pair of bifocal sunglasses from the drug store that I paid as much for as all 3 of these. Well, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Ordered both sets. The classic aviator and small metal framed pair are unsubstantial. The 3rd pair, which I'm keeping for my husband, are much better. As for the fashion set, I looked like a fly in all 3 pairs though I will say they felt better made.

Great purchase!
I cannot believe reviewers are calling these glasses "bad quality"! They are very good quality, especially for the price. The bifocal is not a progressive type and does hit a little high but I have had no problem adjusting. They are a larger style, kind of like Jackie Kennedy"s so if you don't like the large classic style, these are not for you. The wrap-around rhinestone pair is especially cute and worth the price for all of them! I have paid this much for just one pair of great glasses and you get three!

Not Right!
The concept and idea is an excellent idea, but the final product is not well done at all. I have a degenerated eye condition and need to sear sunglasses almost all the time and I also need readers. II was very happy when I saw these. But when I received them and tried them on, something is wrong. I like the style but the readers section, why it is only in the bottom center and do not go totally across the bottom section. That makes for bad viewing when trying to read with them. The readers are at the bottom where they should be but they do not go across the entire bottom jpart of the lenses. Not good at all.

brilliant!! love all three pair
At Last!!! I don't have to take off my sunglasses to read the gps, or a book or a map!!! I love them! I love the larger size lens,
the wrap around sides. Can't find a thing wrong with them!

What Happened?
I love bifocal sunglasses. I was so disappointed about these. They are beautiful! That is all! I have 10 pairs from other companies and have never had this problem. The bifocal was way too high and some of the arms were so tight they made marks on your head. The blue pair had a broken arm that was stretched out and could not be fixed. Please Hummingbird take these back to the drawing board.

Worth every penny! Great deal!
I purchased the CLASSIC set so that my husband and I could share them. We both wear progressive glasses and I hate having to keep trading my glasses for sunglasses in the car or grocery store! These are perfect for those situations. I truly can't believe some of the really negative reviews. The bifocal hits me just right and the quality is great. As to the darkness of the lens, I want dark sunglasses. If you don't already wear bifocals you might have to get use to it but for me they work great. Also if you need more adjustment you probably should go for the classic set because 2 pair in that selection have adjustible nose pads.
