Ryka Water Resistant Suede Zip Front Sport Walking Shoes
Heel slips out
To be fair I have a narrow heel, however their sneakers fit fine. I found the shoe to be stiff and slipping in the heel , therefore uncomfortable. Returning.
This is a great looking shoe. My only issue is the hardness of the back. It is not comfortable to the tendons. I will wear a thicker boot sock and apply moleskin. I have never had a Ryka shoe that felt this hard. I am outdoors a lot and plan to keep it. I hope they will redesign this shoe to be more comfortable.
I had the same pair (or so I thought) for several years, and
they were very comfortable. I just received these and they
are not the same size, too short and too tight. The back of
the shoe is so painful, I have to send them back and
will not reorder ever. Waste of shipping charges.
I just received these on a rainy day. I took them out of the box and wore them immediately. They're soooooo comfortable to walk in and really do have good water protection. I absolutely love them. The only improvement I would make is to make them a bit looser in the zipper area. I have a high instep and they are slightly snug here.
I am a Ryka fan and would love Ryka to make a mid-calf boot for winter. I have their over the ankle boot and wear it all winter long as it is very comfortable and has a nice non-slip bottom, but I live in Michigan which gets a lot of snow. It would be wonderful to be able to wear such a comfortable boot with a higher top. Please consider doing this. Thanks.
I just received these and disappointed they didn't fit. I ordered the size I normally wear 10W. Tried them on without socks and the width and length were perfect but around the ankle was way to snug even unzipped. I would not be able to get these on with socks. My mom tried them on and they were to short and snug on her. Unfortunately, I will have to send all 4 pairs back.
love these shoes
Ihave many pairs and just purchased the blue need to order wide width they run small.and for the reviewer who thinks she writing HSN THIS IS QVC
I was excited to get these then disappointed with fit. They fit but irritated my heels so I knew I would not be able to walk in them which was my intent in spring w wet weather. I wish they had of worked
This is my second pair of these shoes. I loved the first pair, but not this pair although I've chosen to keep them. These shoes are smaller, tighter, and much stiffer. They're not comfortable to wear, but they are useful. However, I would never recommend anyone purchase them, especially since they are expensive. These are a real disappointment.
Not for walking
The footbed of these shoes was so hard and very uncomfortable. The design of the shoe was great but the shoe was so hard all throughout the whole shoe that I (a person that is on there feet and walks a lot) found the shoe just as hard as the concrete that I was walking on. If you change the footbed to a soft or memory foam this might be a suggestion that could help these shoes become better.
I wish I would have read the reviews first...the shoes are tight, they hurt,I will keep wearing them. They look great.
TRUE TO SIZE
I have a high arch and instep, and wide through the toe area. So, shoes don't fit well on me and I have to be careful choosing them. Ryka has been a lifesaver. All of my Rykas fit well. These particular shoes really fit true to size, and they are quite stylist for an all weather type shoe.
I ordered these years ago and fell in love. So convenient and comfy. I wear them almost every day all winter. Bought an extra pair for myself, and another for my sister, my niece and my daughter-in-law to wear on their way to the office because they're so easy on and off. My sister wears hers every day from November through February at least. I kind of agree with other reviewers that they run a tad small because they're snug across the instep; however I can see why they have to be because they're not adjustable, plus I put an orthotic in which makes them snugger still. We have no issues with ankle rubbing or sore little toes.
