Ryka Water Resistant Suede Shoes with Front Zip
I can't stop wearing these shoes!
I live in the Midwest, so with the winter we have had it has been nice to have a winter shoe I can slip on to walk my dog, go shopping and even wear to work the whole day. It is a cute shoe. These shoes aren't meant for walking through deep snow but do keep feet dry and have helped me greatly when it has been slippery and icy.
Broken Zipper After Only Three Months
I loved the way these shoes looked and they were really comfortable, but the zipper on the left shoe broke yesterday, and I've only had the shoes since November! These shoes weren't very expensive but that isn't the point. I feel very disappointed, mostly in QVC. I wear several pair of shoes during the week, so it's not as if I even wore these every day.
Best shoes ever!
This is my second pair. I bought a pair thinking only for messy winter days. I loved them. I wear them all the time. They aren't too warm even in summer. Zipper is great - I wish Ryka would make regular walking shoes with a zipper.
Perfect for daily wear in Wisconsin winter!
I have received many compliments on these shoe boots, people want to know where I got them! These are great for doing errands, etc when there is a lot of slush and salt in the parking lots.....I hate getting my good shoes messed up in the winter, and wearing these keeps my Clarks looking great. I had a pair of Rykas similar to these for over 5 years, and finally I had to replace, and this pair is even better. These are perfect for when you really don't need a full snow boot, which is almost every day in the winter!
I wanted to love them but.....
Not sure if its because my arches are so high or what, but I cant get either of the zippers up. I can get them half way up but with in a few steps the zippers are all the way down. They fit too loose to wear open. The concept of the shoes is great. I was really looking forward to wearing them for dog walking. It just isnt a secure enough fit to keep my feet dry wit the zippers down. I waited too long to return them so I use them just to shovel off the back porch. Lessen learned. Don't assume that they will work. Promptly try them and return if need be. Or love them as intended.
Love these shoes
I just received my Ryka's. I live in Buffalo, went out in the snow and slush. My feet were dry and warm and most importantly, I wasn't slipping and sliding. I don't like a big, heavy boots. These shoes are perfect!!
Great shoe but...
I have two pairs, blue and beige. I love the shoe and have had them for awhile however; the right shoe (blue) zipper fell apart today. The shoe is comfortable and fits well and I hope Ryka will do something to make the zippers more secure.
Would be carefull
I have purchased Ryka in the past, these really run very small and I had the same problem as some others the zipper on the left shoe split before I even got the shoe on. I hope Ryka fixes this issue with the zipper, because I would like to give them another try but not until I know the fixed the zipper problem
I bought this shoe about two years ago to wear to dog shows for those early mornings when the grass is wet. For that purpose they have been wonderful and have kept my feet dry. I have high arches and because of that I can not zip the shoe up completely so this shoe has never fit me correctly. Recently I enrolled in a tracking class with my dog and had to wear waterproof shoes. Well these shoes have not held up to the rigors of walking over hill and dale and started to fall apart after two weeks of rough terrain. So all in all these are good city wet weather shoes but not outdoorsy wet weather shoes.
I wouldnt be without these....
Im on my 3rd pair of these, I wear them Fall, Winter & Spring. They are easy to slip on, have great traction and keep my feet dry. I hope they make these for a long, long time !!!
I actually love the shoe but the left shoe has a faulty zipper and won't stayed zipped. The zipper stopped working within 5 minutes of wearing them. I wore them another day and had the same issue so the zipper just doesn't work. I have narrow feet but can wear these with a think sock, which is how I wanted to wear them, on cold, wet, days. I am going to see if I have had them too long to send in for an exchange. I want a pair in which both zippers work.
I have purchased these shoes and ones like them before and will think twice before ordering them again. First pair leaked within a few months. Since they were comfortable, I just figured they were a bad pair. These ones I just got and since they were so comfortable I just had a stupid attack and threw away the box and packing right away. After the first time I wore them, the zipper came apart at the bottom. I could close the zipper again, but it keeps coming apart. Now, I am stuck with a pair of shoes that have a faulty zipper. This is not the first time I have had problems with the zippers. Stupid on my part for falling for it again. Please don't throw out any paper work and packaging. You just may need it to send them back. I willjust wear them for cleaning stalls. Expensive barn shoes.
