Water Resistant lace up boots
While I can confirm, they are fairly water resistant... they are NOT comfortable. They offer NO arch support at all. They are not all that easy to get on either. I didn't send them back because I didn't want to pay the shipping.
I have several pairs of Ryka sandals that offer great support and are very comfortable so figured these Ryka Boots would be GREAT. Sorry... these boots did not live up to my expectations.

Not like other Rykas
I have worn Ryka walking shoes for many years. I have ordered most of them through QVC. I always order the same size so I had no thoughts about the fit. I thought these shoes would be perfect for my walking in wet conditions. Sadly, I was wrong. My mistake was putting them in the closet after they came and waiting to get them out when I needed to wear them.
First, the top metal eye came off the shoe when I tried to tie them the very first time. Then the shoes were really wide and I had to change socks to get them to fit properly, even though they are lace up. The laces, because they are so thick are REALLY difficult to adjust. It takes a long time, yet they are STILL too wide. Long story short, these are one of the few pairs of shoes that I own that I can't wear at all.

Super Comfortable
Love the boots. They are super comfortable and keep my feet warm in the cold weather. I would have given them a 5 star rating, but I found the shoe laces not to be up to par. I wore these boots to work one day and had to re-tie them 7-8 times during the day. Therefore, I bought a pair of shoe laces from a local sports store that are guaranteed not to become untied. They worked like a dream and now I'm completely enjoying these boots.

Stunning Look, Bad Fitting Heel
I was really anxious to get the boots but got disappointed once I tried them on. They are the perfect looking boots, light weight as I wanted but I kept them on less than ten minutes and I could tell that they would rub the back of my leg. I did not give up, I waited until the next morning and tried them again with thicker socks to see if this would help but after about twenty -five minutes of walking in my house, I knew they would not work for me. I had a red spot about an inch about my heel so I am sending them back.

Great for outdoor hiking
I have worn these all over the world, Rwanda, Ecuador, Kenya and Alaska. I love them, and they still look good after many, many miles. I do wear them with good hiking socks and liners.

These are snow wonderful!
I live in Wisconsin, these boots feel so great on my feet. When I wear these out when there is a windchill my feet don't feel cold. These Ryka keep my feet as warm as a pair of slippers and they feel like I'm wearing slippers all day. These are great for running around on the weekend and stylish to wear to work. I recommend these for anyone who lives in an area where there is snow.

light weight
I ordered the brown for myself and blk for my mother for Christmas. We both like the boots, they are light weight. They seem to run wider for the normal width. I would had rated this with a 4 but I only had the boots for a month and remind you not wearing them for that long--- wore less than 10 times and the shoe string broke. By this time I had already broke them in enough to be comfortable around the ankles and that was the reason I didn't send back to get another pair. You can fix the shoe-string you just have to thread it using small tools which is time consuming, but it has worked so far. I do think for the price of this boot, it needs to be a better quality. I would recommend this to a friend but the quality needs to improve. I don't like recommending anything to a friend if the quality is not good. Sorry.

Ryka Fan
I purchased this boot in Black for my adult daughter for Christmas. She wore them during our holiday trip to Minnesota where it was very cold and snowy. They kept her feet warm, dry and comfortable. I've bought several Ryka styles for her over the past couple of years. She's a 9M but tends to be a little wide in the toe box area. The fit and style of this brand works great for her.

MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS I OWN!
I put several miles a day walking dogs on these. They are the best! Wide enough, roomy toe box and sheds of snowy slush. Great traction, too. LOVE these!

GREAT BOOT!
I have these boots in two colors and have had them for a couple of years now. I love them. They are my go to in the winter. They keep my feet warm and dry. I know they say water resistant, but they are also wind resistant. I wear them all of the time during the cold months and in all kinds of weather. They have never let me down. I can't believe how warm my feet are in these.
And after all this time, they still look new. I'm amazed given that they are leather.
Also, they are very comfortable. I have bad knees. The shoes with the squishy bottoms, while they may feel soft and cushy for the feet, are really bad for the knees because they provide no support. These do have a stiffer bottom, but because of that they provide great support. I have no problem with the insole. Again, they are very comfortable.
Oh, and did I mention they are cute?
I have wide feet and these are also pretty roomy for my wide foot. Some brands say they are "wide" but are not.
Definitely recommend!
