Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointed I finally got home so I was excited about finally getting to try this. I opened the product and found no owners manual so I thought must be a piece of cake. I filled it with the water and plugged it in. It does not steam it just sits and makes a clicking noise. It is to late to return it because I have not been home. I am very disappointed. Since I had no owners manual I cannot troubleshoot. This is the second order in the past month. I had a food product delivered so slowly that I had to throw it away. Called QVC to report and all I got was "SO SORRY". I DON'T THINK SO. i am beginning to wonder if I should give up on QVC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes Ironing a Thing Of The Past! This is a Godsend, especially if you have issues that preclude you from standing at the ironing board for hours. I do love to iron, and collect Rowenta irons (call me crazy) but this is the best brand you can buy, they last forever, and QVC has the best prices. However, I was drawn to this steamer because I am so frustrated when ironing curtains and drapes. You can never get all of the wrinkles out, and by the time you get them on the rod and hang them up they look worse than when you took them out of the package. Now with this ingenious steamer that never spits out rusty water, I hang the drapes first, steam them, and voila, a perfectly ironed set of draperies or curtains, already hung and exactly how you want them. This is great too for tablecloths which are a killer, and obviously works ;like a charm for regular apparel. I am actually enjoying working with this item. Fabulous Purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Steamer I love this steamer for quick jobs. It works so well. I use it quite often and have had no problems. If there is a down side it would be the water tank size. But it would not be handheld if it were bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this I hate Ironing. Some garments have so many pleats and gatherings or weird arm holes or combinations of fabrics, appliques, etc. that you have to spend hours navigating around everything "just so" in order to get it looking decent. And then you always end up with a wrinkle you put in with the iron that just doesn't want to come out. I remember my grandmother always Ironing every bed sheet, long curtains, etc. and the hours she spent doing that. And there were always some stubborn wrinkles that would come back. I couldn't imagine ironing those things again - now you can just hang your curtains, run the steamer over them, adjust them and your done. Once hard to iron fabrics are now so easy to deal with. This Rowenta X-CEL 1500W is A+++ in my book. The attachments for various applications are very handy. Although, my brush attachment has one empty hole where there are no bristles but not a big deal. Quality control issue. The steam is substantial and very effective - even on heavy cotton shirts with curled up bottom edges - they relax perfectly almost instantly. I'll be refilling the water reservoir frequently but aside from that - hassle free use. I find the weight and balance of the steamer perfect and it's build of high quality. I love the ability to lock the steam on if you need to for heavier garments. I'll need to play with it a while to see how versatile I can make it - like when I need sharp folded seams for sewing, etc. which an iron is ideal for. I'm thinking an attachment that can accomplish that would be good. Make attachments available separately as well as they come to market so those of us with older models can get them. I think what comes to mind as I am using it is the fact that it puts moisture back into the fabrics, which keeps them in better shape and helps them to last longer. Dryers can dry fabrics out so much if you aren't mindful and even irons don't seem to give life back to fabrics as well as this steamer does. I also appreciated that I had no water drops or spitting across the fabrics while steaming them. Just perfect, even and consistent steam. Steam also helps rejuvenate compressed foam seating in upholstered furniture, crushed carpet spots, etc. It helps the cells re - expand. So, it's double duty and likely even more uses will be found as I experiment. For the quality and price, great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific Little Steamer I've been wanting a steamer for a long time but didn't want a floor model. This is perfect. I do not understand the complaints about it being too heavy; I find it to be compact and very manageable. I do recommend using the steamer bonnet or you will end up with moisture on your clothes, which will evaporate. Likewise, I find that you must keep device uptight as you go the length of the clothes or it will drip. Finally, I have found a way to quickly de-wrinkle sweaters that have been folded without putting "dry flat only" items into the dryer to make them wearable! Even though I have large utility room with a fold-down ironing board, you still have to get down the iron, add water, etc., plus I love that the steamer doesn't steam in unwanted creases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE LOVE I do not like to iron & I am not a morning person. So, I end up not wearing 1/2 my clothes because I never have time to iron them in the morning before work! Ironing requires me to go downstairs to the ironing board, let the iron heat up, blah blah blah. I had a little portable steamer years ago and it was horrible and did not work at all. When I saw this on air, I thought I would give it a try since it was a Rowenta (when I do iron that's what I use) but I had my doubts. I figured I would try it and if it did not work I would just send it back. I am SOOOOO glad I bought this. This thing actually works! I quickly use it every morning now and it takes out wrinkles in seconds. It's like a have an entire new wardrobe now...lol!!! I usually steam 1 or 2 garments each morning by just hanging them in my closet doorway and I steam away...I am done in a few minutes! I have to refill it about every 3 days. So, if you are going to use this to power steam tons of stuff at one time, you will have to stop and refill every 4-6 garments so keep that in mind. Some people are posting comments that they feel like it is too heavy. I do not think it is heavy at all, it has a little weight to it, but nothing unmanageable or that I wasn't expecting. Who thought a steamer could change your life, but it has and I love it!!!!
