Rowenta Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 1725 Watt Steam Iron
Most expensive iron I own
This iron was a big purchase for me, as I have never spent this much on knee in the past. However, it is well worth every penny! Irons your clothes with little effort and lots of steam. You don't need to spend countless times going over the same spots it's one and done. I hate to iron the older I've gotten so this makes my life much easier.
I purchased this and received it in May, it works well. The water fill port door broked in half three months after purchase. I am returning to QVC for a replacement product. I attempted to go on line to Rowenta just to purchase the broken part, I was unable to locate this model number or the part in Rowentas list. I do not return things normally. This is the first purchase from QVC that I have returned.
Worst Purchase Ever
Love the iron but the water tank needs to be clear
Beats the cheap-o irons!
This is the best iron I've ever used HOWEVER....wish it were lighter in weight...I have painful issues with my hands and wrists so it is quite abit heavy to lift around while ironing. It is very VERY heavy. compared to the lower priced irons. It glides over fabrics and all in all, except for the heaviness, I do like the iron. I don't have to re-iron a spot over and over to get a sharp crease...this does the job in a couple of swipes! I think irons, etc. are personal 'choices' so that is why I would not buy one as a gift...it might not be what the recipient would want #or appreciate#.
I never realized how hard I was working just to iron a pair of jeans, my new iron just glides over my clothes. I love it so much I will be taking it to Florida with me this winter, I need to throw away 2 very old steam irons "work horses".
Good not fantastic
This iron is okay it does well with linens and wool fabrics. On the show when they were displaying this it seemed like a miracle iron. They said no water drips....well it drips. They said all wrinkles out with one stroke...well you need several strokes. Not a bad iron but not what I expected either.
Happy to have a new iron!
I hadn't had a new iron in years--my old ones were not heating properly and I decided to buy a Rowenta. It glides so nicely and I love the heavy amount of steam it puts out. It has a very sleek design and I love the purple color. I have two small complaints regarding the iron--the first one is that the cord attachment is not raised quite high enough and it can get in the way of the already-ironed sections of the garment, and the second one is not being able to see the fill line to see how much water is in the reservoir. I see that many other people have mentioned the problem with the water level--if this was remedied, I may give it 5 stars. All-in-all, I am just so happy to have a new iron! A friend told me that I was the only person she had never heard even mention that they had bought a new iron, so I must really love mine!
This is the best iron I have ever owned. The water capacity isn't very large so have to do lots of refills. The pointed nose and all those steam vents make ironing fun and easy. Now I look for things to iron, lol
Makes Ironing Fun!
This iron is a joy to use, steams out wrinkles in silk blouses, hubby's suits - freshens garments and I can get a sharp crease in my designer jeans - ha!. Who knew ironing could be fun as well! Very happy with this fine appliance.
love it, except
as others have mentioned I too find it impossible to see the water tank markings! Make the tanks clear. That is why I said I would NOT recommend to a friend. I would tell them to buy this brand but with a CLEAR tank. Otherwise it is a great iron.
Makes It Easier
I use to hate to iron because of the water spots my old iron would leave. This iron glides easy over everything and no water spots and its always a plus when u can steam your clothes when needed. It is everything they say it is.
Possibly the best iron Rowenta ever built. Well balanced and really puts out the steam.
