This is my second Rowenta. I bought this one because my older Rowenta did not have auto shut-off. When I say old I mean Old! I purchased my old Rowenta in the 1990's and it still works.
This iron is awesome. The glide is amazingly smooth, the amount of steam is awesome, it heats up fast and does an awesome job on getting the wrinkles out. So far no spitting or sputtering like some reviews have complained about. My older Rowenta never gave me a bit of trouble and I expect the same from this one.
My only complaint is the water tank. It is hard to see the water level. If Rowenta added an easy to see water level to this design they would have the ultimate iron.

I bought this iron 18 months ago and carefully followed the care directions as instructed. A few months after using the iron, it began spitting and sputtering water when the steam feature was on,regardless of the setting. Now, the iron does not heat at all. At this price I expected better performance. What a gyp.

I bought this as a gift thinking it would be the most amazing gift ever. When the time came to gift it I was very disappointed and embarrassed because the heat wasn't working properly and the steam wasn't working as it should.. So I decided before trying to return it ( it may be too late) I would try using it myself. It would either not remove wrinkles or force fabric together and make it worse. Also feel like it's awkward to handle

auto off came on atfer 2-3 years . We only used it about 30-40 hours we have to send to a repair place . I think in should have lasted a lot longer

poor steam production at lower temperatures. the iron drags on synthetic fabric at the lower temperatures which is mostly why I bought it . is expensive. Iam returning it. Plan to buy something somewhere else.

I wanted another Rowenta after my husband dropped our old one and broke it. Ordered this one but it leaked and spit water with the first use and didn't get any better. Had to return it.

Purchased this item two weeks ago and have been using.... I was not that impressed with it... Have had other Rowentas that were just as good and not as expensive... wanted to return, but have thrown away my receipt... just figured I would not be returning. I would be returning had I kept that receipt...

This is my 3rd Rowenta and I absolutely love it. The iron glides across the fabric and the bursts of steam are wonderful and makes ironing so easy and fast. I also love the fact that I can use tap water. I wish everyone had an iron like mine!!! I would highly recommend this product to a friend. It would make their life more pleasant.

This is the third Rowenta iron I have owned over the years and I do like the functionality of the iron, however, I find it difficult to easily see where the water is in the reservoir. It is a constant frustration as I have overfilled on several occasions.

This is my first Rowenta and I will never buy any other brand. I have been so impressed at how easy ironing is with this iron. It makes all my clothes look like they are new off the rack again. Couldn't believe what I have been missing for all of these years. Thank you Rowenta.

I finally wore my first Rowenta iron out after many years and ordered this one. I would never buy any other iron now. They are wonderful.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Laura1956 Nice iron/very hot
This is a wonderful iron. Light weight, so you don't get tired as you iron. The only thing that needs to be addressed is that it is so hot, you can really burn yourself. The steam is really hot, so if you have close ironing work, such as hand pieced quilt blocks, you need to be really careful that you don't burn yourself. Don't put your fingers close to iron as you press. With that being said, I do like it that it is hot. Just be very careful. It really does the job.
