This iron is NOT worth the money. It drips constantly. Also the dial for the settings is in a terrible place, whenever I go to grab the iron I bump the dial setting. The dripping is the worst part, do not buy it.

There isn't anything special about this iron. I thought the Rowenta brand would deliver better results than a super-cheap iron, but I don't see much difference. My biggest complaint is that it spits out dirty steam droplets sporadically onto clothing. There is nothing more frustrating than ironing a shirt for work, only to have it get spit upon, requiring it to then be spot-treated and re-laundered. I only use the iron on the dry setting now and use a separate spray bottle. (Any yes, I followed the directions.)

I have owned 3 Rowenta products.
All 3 products proved to be disposable. I spent a total of $400.00 on Rowenta products. One hand steamer that failed to work from the start. The Rowenta Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 1800W Expert Steam Iron that I bought here on the Q, which gets hot but that is ALL it did, it never did steam, it spit, rained, showered hot water all over my sewing stuido but "expert steam iron" is a huge stretch to describe this disposable item.
...THIS IRON which a sister seamstress gave me as a gift.....fell apart in my hands leaving me standing there holding a handle with all the bits on the floor.
The real punchline, your rowenta warrenty is scrap paper, rowenta has never responded to any of my failed product compaints.
Rowenta = obscenely overpriced DISPOSABLE irons.
I'm currently using a $15 Sunbeam Iron that our performs every rowenta on the market.

I just received this iron as a replacement of a 3 year old Rowena Mercedes Benz Fashion Week iron and cannot say enough good things about it. It is everything it purports to be and is everything the Mercedes Benz iron is not. It is light weight, comfortable to hold, steams without having to push a button, and the markings/settings are easy to read and set. The Mercedes Benz had a dial set right under the front of the handle making it difficult to turn and it was brown on brown making it impossible to read. Ironing is not my favorite chore but with the DW2070 Rowenta Effective Comfort Iron it made an unpleasant chore much less unpleasant.

I just tried my new iron for the first time today. Thank goodness I didn't wait too long to return it. There are so many things NOT to like about this iron. First of all, the instructions are the WORST I have ever seen in my life. There are no written instructions whatsoever, just a bunch of pictures, which are ridiculous. Some are confusing, and it took me and my husband together to try to figure them out. As others have pointed out, the MAX water level was difficult to see. But the worst aggravation was when I tried to iron with the steam turned on. The sole plate is not Teflon coated like my old iron and it kept grabbing at the fabric causing MORE wrinkles to iron out. It only glides over the material easily when using a DRY iron. Also, the thing kept sputtering and causing large drops of water to fall directly on the garment. And, it is heavier than my old steam iron, so ironing several garments at a time would be a problem for me. Now that returns have become even more costly, since the original S & H is no longer being refunded, this has not been a good value for me at all. Good thing I didn't throw my old iron away, because I can't afford to "try out" any more from QVC.

I need a new iron. Tried this one. Heavy iron (before water added). Leaks. Clothes did not look as good as the job my old iron did when finished ironing. Could not remove some of the wrinkles with this iron on correct heat/steam setting. Followed all instructions that came with the iron. Very disappointed!

This iron is just the right size. Not to heavy - not too light. It has ample steam vents and can easily take out minor wrinkles just by holding it upright and garment on the hanger for a quick touch up without getting the ironing board out! This new Rowenta is replacing my old Rowenta that I bought from QVC over 10 yrs ago! The plug on that one just kept getting hot and finally the iron quit working altogether. So back to QVC for another Rowenta. It has the SAME type of plug - both prongs are the same size - one is not wider than the other like other plug heads??? Hoping this one lasts as long... I will be fine with that. The only thing is that when I iron on the ironing board and use the steam burst a lot, water spots appear on the garment. That is why I am giving it 4 stars.
