Rowenta Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 1725 Watt Steam Iron
Nice and easy to use but the water level panel is much too dark to see how much water you are putting in.
Not so loving it!
I bought my Rowenta last year and wish that a new model would come out where you can see the water level! That is annowing to always having it run over when filling it! One other thing that I don't like is it runs out of water so frequently, that I have to continually fill it up with the same problem with not know when to stop! It only can iron two or maybe 1/2 of another items before it has to be refilled again!
I love the amount of steam and the shape of this iron. A great purchase for me and my clothing!
un happy it Leaks
I recieved my Iron in May allwas fine until today I refilled my iron last night with distilled water and this morning wheni got up it leaked all over the place and when i pick it up water runs down the cord. NOT good.
Rowenta Is The Best
Love this iron. I have only used Rowenta irons for the past 20ish years. 2 suggestions please make the cord longer and the fill tank transparent so you can see how much water is in the iron before it overflows.
I Love This Iron
This is truly the Mercedes Benz of irons. It's heavy duty, very sturdy. I love it, glad I made this purchase
Not a Good Value
I really wanted to love this iron. This was the second Rowenta Iron I purchased from QVC. The first one broke after 6 months and I thought ok, it might just be my bad luck. So I decided to try again. After just 3 months, it started spitting water and then just plain leaking all over my ironing board. Had to just throw it away, as it won't hold water anymore. Not a great value for the price charged! I'm done with Rowenta for sure! Going back to the cheaper irons that last a whole lot longer.
Can't see water level
No complaints on performance of the iron but The purple color I have is so dark I cannot see water level. I'm annoyed with this every time I use the iron. Guess that is why purple was the only color that was left over. Should have checked the reviews before buying.
I love this iron. I have an older rowenta but this model blows it away. The big difference is on this model there are steam holes on the entire plate. This is incredible because now when I'm ironing I barely have to touch the fabric and the wrinkles disappear. It's awesome! I iron both clothes and fabric for quilting and this iron works superbly on both.
Rowenta Mercedes Benz 1725 Steam Iron
I have several previous Rowenta irons and this iron by far has the least in terms of amenities! The cord isn't retractable, there's no water gage window, so many times I add too much water which causes drainage from the bottom of the iron or it pours out on the clothing you are ironing. I LOVE to iron, but this wasn't one of my better Rowenta purchases....

This iron has a dark purple casing that prevents me from seeing the water level. I have held it up to the light in every direction possible and still can't see if it's low on water. I just keep refilling it if I don't notice any steam coming out. Also I notice that the heat doesn't stay the same while ironing. One minute it's very hot and then a few minutes later....not so much.
Great Iron, but...
This iron does everything advertised, but b/c of the dark color of the water tank, it's quite a challenge to see when the water is low.... very annoying! I have to tilt it a certain way and hold it up to the light. Next time I buy an iron, I'll skip the cute fashion colors!
