Rowenta Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 1725 Watt Steam Iron
Rowenta Mercedes Benz 1725 Steam Iron
I have several previous Rowenta irons and this iron by far has the least in terms of amenities! The cord isn't retractable, there's no water gage window, so many times I add too much water which causes drainage from the bottom of the iron or it pours out on the clothing you are ironing. I LOVE to iron, but this wasn't one of my better Rowenta purchases....

This iron has a dark purple casing that prevents me from seeing the water level. I have held it up to the light in every direction possible and still can't see if it's low on water. I just keep refilling it if I don't notice any steam coming out. Also I notice that the heat doesn't stay the same while ironing. One minute it's very hot and then a few minutes later....not so much.
Great Iron, but...
This iron does everything advertised, but b/c of the dark color of the water tank, it's quite a challenge to see when the water is low.... very annoying! I have to tilt it a certain way and hold it up to the light. Next time I buy an iron, I'll skip the cute fashion colors!

Excellent product...................everyone who needs too iron clothes, should own one. It doesn't have all that fancy stuff, like most expensive irons, but it has POWER.! Power enough to get the chores of ironing done and done well.

I did not expect the iron to be so heavy. It works well though and does make ironing a bit easier. I also agree about the water window. Much too dark to see where the water level is and that is a problem. I wish the cord was longer too, I have to stretch to the max to use it. Of all the irons I have used in 40 years of ironing, this is most likely the shortest cord. I would not recommend as a gift because of the water window issue.
My son had to have one!
When my son came home to visit he saw my Rowenta and wanted to take it home. My son loves to iron his clothes cause he has to be fresh (no wrinkles) I told him I would get him one for his Birthday in October well he got it in June and he loves it. In fact this is the 2nd Roweta I've given him. When he went to the Navy about 9 years ago I had gotten a brand new Pink Rowenta from a friend as a gift. Well the Pink Rowenta went with my son to the Navy, over seas and all. Also his Navy buddies loved it, yes the Navy guys were ironing with a Pink Rowenta Iron and loved it.
Most expensive iron I own
This iron was a big purchase for me, as I have never spent this much on knee in the past. However, it is well worth every penny! Irons your clothes with little effort and lots of steam. You don't need to spend countless times going over the same spots it's one and done. I hate to iron the older I've gotten so this makes my life much easier.
I purchased this and received it in May, it works well. The water fill port door broked in half three months after purchase. I am returning to QVC for a replacement product. I attempted to go on line to Rowenta just to purchase the broken part, I was unable to locate this model number or the part in Rowentas list. I do not return things normally. This is the first purchase from QVC that I have returned.
Worst Purchase Ever
Love the iron but the water tank needs to be clear
Beats the cheap-o irons!
This is the best iron I've ever used HOWEVER....wish it were lighter in weight...I have painful issues with my hands and wrists so it is quite abit heavy to lift around while ironing. It is very VERY heavy. compared to the lower priced irons. It glides over fabrics and all in all, except for the heaviness, I do like the iron. I don't have to re-iron a spot over and over to get a sharp crease...this does the job in a couple of swipes! I think irons, etc. are personal 'choices' so that is why I would not buy one as a gift...it might not be what the recipient would want #or appreciate#.
I never realized how hard I was working just to iron a pair of jeans, my new iron just glides over my clothes. I love it so much I will be taking it to Florida with me this winter, I need to throw away 2 very old steam irons "work horses".
Good not fantastic
This iron is okay it does well with linens and wool fabrics. On the show when they were displaying this it seemed like a miracle iron. They said no water drips....well it drips. They said all wrinkles out with one stroke...well you need several strokes. Not a bad iron but not what I expected either.
