I purchased this plant and placed it in water as per the instructions. As instructed, I changed the water twice each week. After the third week, it started to emit a foul odor, similar to rotten eggs, and the water would become cloudy the day after I changed it. I sent an email to Roberta's to ascertain whether this was normal. They responded very quickly, and said that this wasn't supposed to happen, and that this particular plant was bad. They also offered to replace it by next spring. I am very pleased with their customer service, but I don't want to take any chances, since the plant seemed to be attracting small insects as well. All in all, I will buy my plants in person from now on.

I ordered this plant in March of 2015 and I love it, but half of it died this past summer and nothing is growing back. It looks really silly being a totem pole plant with only green leaves on one side.

Bought one for myself and my mother 2 years ago. It has grown so well with little help. Does anyone else have flowers on theirs? I have a vine of the most fragment flowers about a foot and a half long

Received this as a gift. Was a little skeptic, but followed directions and within a week in water it started sprouting. Was surprised. Looking good and has been planted for several weeks already. Growth has slowed, figured its due to sprouting roots, which is good. A new sprout has shown up a few weeks ago and is taking a little longer to grow, but its fun watching it.
Best gift ever and just may put some on my Christmas list for this year!
Thanks QVC! for showing it and my friend getting it for me.

Received my totem pole in April. I'm satisfied with the progress. I kept it inside four months, watering once every six days. I mix a little Roberta's liquid fertilizer in water once a month. The shoots started coming out faster. Now my pole have 7 shoots. It will live outside now to enjoy the California sun, and will come indoors by a window during Winter. Photo taken in September.
