Roberta's Oriental Totem Pole
Still a piece of wood!
Nothing comes out after three months. Need to call for a replacement or something.
Never sprouted, tried 2 different times.
Tried growing this and failed every time. Not the plant for me.
I consider myself a great gardener. However, I have followed the instructions to the letter and now several months later, have seen no signs of this plant blooming.
Want another one!
Even though i didn't unpack it for a month as i was in the process of moving, It sprouted within two weeks. Never noticed any odor, leaves are beautiful. Would buy another one as soon as they come back!
Purchased 2 Totem Poles in April and very happy I did!!
Both Totems have sprouted immensely and I have not planted
them in soil yet.
The sprouts have beautiful green leaves :).
I bought one of these about a year ago. It is an amazing little plant. I just ordered another for my daughter.
rotten pole- worst purchase
This product was the worst item ever from QVC. It was moldy the entire time in water. It has been planted in soil now, and is still moldy up the log. NO GROWTH.
Starting to bud
I'm so excited. My totem pole is starting to have little buds poke out of the bark. There are at least 6 spots, all over the pole, that are starting to sprout. It has been so fun to watch the little nubs develop. I think it is going to look very full once all the spots have leaves. This would be a great project for kids to watch. I feel like I am watching it grow.
My totem tree has been in water for 3 weeks. I already have 5 branches sprouting. I change the water every other day. It stinks horribly but I am enjoying the progress that has come so quickly. I spray the growth with the hawaaian magic plant food and it's going gangbusters! I have high hopes for this plant
So Far so Good
I have had my totem pole for a little less than a month now. I have followed the directions faithfully and am now seeing little knobs jutting out of the bark that weren't there before. I don't see any leaves yet or roots but the little knobs look promising and I hope I see some leaves soon. I am getting a kick out of watching the progress of this little plant and am excited to see the end result. I have read the other reviews and am worried that putting it in soil will kill it or something...I hope when the time comes to put this in dirt that everything works out.
Totem pole still a pole
I ordered this last year and was looking forward to getting it. When I received it I followed the directions, put it in water and changed the water several times a week. My first sign of a problem was the water or stump started smelling after each water change. After 6 weeks I still didn't have any leaves but I put it in dirt anyway. Here it is spring and nothing. Just a piece of wood. Sent an email to Roberta's a couple of weeks ago and I have heard nothing. I prefer Roberta's plants but this one I do not recommend.
I have had this for a month....haven't seen anything growing as yet. I'll see what happens. Could be another disappointment. I cannot recommend it to a friend just yet.
