Roberta's Oriental Totem Pole
Didn't grow for me
I believe I bought 2 or 3 of these. Everyone of them died. One almost immediately-the rest over a few months. Followed directions.
Mine didn't do anything. And since it was to soak in water for 6-8 weeks by then it wasn't covered by the 30 day return. Waste of money
I have had this plant for about a year. It is about two feet tall and has beautiful leaves. It has three sprouts out of the top and continues to grow. Follow the instructions about scraping off the wax before putting in water and make sure you have the correct end in the water. It will take several weeks before it sprouts but don't give up. Your patience will be rewarded with a great plant!
Great Purchase !
I've had my totem pole for a couple years now and it is doing wonderful ! The first year it had some leaves on it but by the second year it has grown to 35 " across with many leaves, and it keeps on growing new leaves all the time. I've been very pleased with the out come.
Easy to care for, requires very little maintenance and abs and nice bit of green to do living room.
Love, Love this Plant
I have had this plant for over 10 years, just goes to show, I do have a green thumb--once in awhile. Even my daughter could grow this. It is about 5-6 feet tall, and really thick foliage. Right now it sits in a dark corner of the room, but still gets plenty of light from a picture window. You could not possibly go wrong ordering this plant. At first, you think, "What can possibly grow from this chunk of log?" But it does, and has a long life. Enjoy!!
they sent me a new one
I followed the directions and nothing happened.I called them and they sent another one.It grew and did well.Rather expensive for one plant I believe.I guess id go buy one at the store already established.Im not sure if you can get one but anyway Is rather expensive for a stick.... sorry not really feeling it for 32.00
Not a single regret!
I purchased this plant a year ago and have been growing it for almost a year now. I just love this plant! I followed the directions for getting this plant started and everything developed according to schedule. It is now a lovely leafy little stump, similar to the one they show on the diningroom table in the photo. This plant has shiny foliage and lots of personality. One family member has named it "Charles." I call it the "Hallelujah Plant" because it went through a stage where the leaves looked like arms upstretched to heaven. I look forward to watching this plant continue to grow for many, many years
I bought my first totem pole four years ago and neglected it. In fact. last year, it ended up outside when we had a hard freeze. Lost all leaves and the bark started peeling off. I put it aside and bought another one. This did great but that older one surprised me when it bloomed again and now is rivaling the newest.
Easy to grow.
Followed the directions and it grew just like they said it would. Very nice plant. Low maintenance. I do nothing but water it once in a while. After almost 2 years has not had a single brown leaf. I have mine in a sunny window behind some sheer curtains.
Sorry for the not so good review
Mine did not live. Just goes to prove I have a black thumb for sure. Even though it's suppose to be an easy grow. Darn it.
Beautiful and easy to care for!
This is my third time purchasing these beautiful plants. Four years ago I bought two. One for myself and one for my daughter. Mine is still thriving and gorgeous. My daughter's died as she kept it in a dark hallway. They do need some light! Bought five more last year. All doing great, but one did not sprout or bloom at all. I called after the 7th/8th week and got a refund. The window to purchase a new one was closed, or I surely would have. I am not sure why some grow perfectly with lots of sprouts and others have less or don't sprout at all, or why the window to purchase these is so small, but in any case, well worth the purchase. Can't wait to get them in April! Water once a week and dust off occasionally. Fun "project" for grandkids to see them sprout and thrive. Transplanting my very first plant to a larger pot was very easy too.
