Rated 4 out of 5 by Use Cactus and succulent Soil!!! I love these trees!! They were nice and healthy when they were delivered!! I put them in regular potting soil and only watered them once. I wondered why they were still wet after a week, and the directions said to water regularly. The leaves started to welt and go limp, Online elsewhere it states to use cactus soil because it'll help the water drain and wont cause the root to rot , im going to transplant mine and test it out!! Other than that i think these wont be hard to care for, as of right now i jus got to take them out in the morning and bring them back in at night. 05-17-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Garbage I have had these for a week, in a few days they are extremely close to dead. I bought the best soil and they have been in sunlight and the warmth of my house when the temperature has been BELOW 65. I attached pictures so future buyers would know what they are getting. Extremely disappointed as these were a gift. In addition, they look NOTHING like the brochure states as "shipped as". What a joke. 05-16-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by very disappointed My banana plants arrived looking pretty sickly. One of them only had 2 discolored leaves on it. Despite using the best potting soil and fertilizer, they are not looking any better. 05-16-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Arrival The plants arrived at my door yesterday and are healthy and well. It is up to me now to keep them that way - but in the condition that they arrived , they are off to a great start - Thanks Roberta's 05-06-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by healthy plants I received my trees this week. They were so strong and healthy. I will let everyone how I do with them 05-05-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by NOT LIKE VIDEO The plants arrived half the size of on air presentation. They had 3 leaves on each cutting. Not much hope for these plants most of the leaves were brown or broken. I think I will be buying my bananas at the store. I would have hoped for decent size plants for the price. Not very happy with Robertas plants lately. 05-04-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by GO BANANAS!! My husband has the green thumb in our family. We bought this plant a few years ago and it almost died last year but, not because of the quality of plant but, because my husband left it outside his excuse was he wanted the plant to acclimate to it's climate. He did have it under other huge trees so was somewhat protected. Well here we are another year and guess what they are beautiful and have baby bananas growing and my Monkey will have bananas this year. LOL We are so excited that we have taken pictures and will take pictures every week so I can share on my Facebook. So, yes I give this plant a 5 star review because you too can have fresh bananas. Thank You Roberta's for giving us plants that are unique and different than any of my neighbors anyway 05-01-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by no bananas After 3 years of caring for these .....no bananas ....I wanted the fruit...where's the bananas??? 04-18-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Sure About These I ordered these last year. I put one in a pot, the other in the ground. The pot never grew. Died shortly after planting. The one in the ground grew beautifully. Was about 4-5 feet first year! No fruit though. Unfortunately it died over the winter, as I live in California where we get below freezing. I don't like to ask QVC for a refund so not sure if I did. It seems every single plant/tree I ordered, either from Cottage Farms or Roberta's die. I notice they are quarantined for quite some time before released from customs. It's usually weeks between shipping and delivery date. Most times the plants are DOA. So I try not to order much as each year I spend hundreds and am ashamed to ask for a refund. At least my local nursery gives refunds if something doesn't make it and I can purchase it in a healthy condition. 04-09-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Plant even in Northeast! I purchased these 2 yrs. ago. Grew so big I needed to prune them to get them indoors for winter. Great statement plants indoors in winter. Buy ginormous pots so they can spread and you will have more trees! Order the Worx Cart from QVC to help move them. 04-07-16
Rated 1 out of 5 by Go to the store for bananas Worst thing I have ever bought didn't do anything last year brought it inside for the winter fought to keep it going just put it back outside and it looks like it's going to die....would not recommend 04-05-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by Don't buy if you really want bananas Going on my third or fourth year with these plants and no bananas. The plants are in huge pots and look great but have never bloomed or set fruit. I put them in the sun on the patio every summer, water when needed and bring them in every winter. Not sure what they need so they will set fruit. If I didn't like the leaves so much I would give up. Recommend only for the foliage. I am not a novice green thumb. Roberta's HELP! 03-23-16
