Yes I have no bananas Only one of the two banana trees are growing. Waiting for my bananas to grow QVC did make good on the tree that died. 06-20-14
Disappointed I purchased over a year ago and am still waiting for some growth. I started one in ground and the other in a pot, for about 9 months then transferred to ground. I also made the vitamin purchase but neither one is past 2 1/2 feet. I live Melbourne, FL where bananas trees grow everywhere, these have not. I have Papayas, am growing an avocado tree, pigeon peas, beans, lettuce, cilantro + others but these banana trees are not as easy as shown on video. 04-26-14
Very Disappointed Both died. They never gave any fruit. Bad purchase 04-14-14
One Lived One Died? We purchased over 2 years ago. We live 2 miles from the coast in SoCal. I put one in a pot and it didn't make it? The other one went in the ground..and lived. I barely put it in the ground and it took off!! No fruit, but it is 8 feet tall!?! It is starting to make pups. I'm going to buy some fresh soil, I'm sure it will do better when I add the dirt. I don't baby it. But I love looking at it:) 03-25-14
No Fruit I purchased last year and neither of the two plants produced any bananas. I also purchased the blood orange tree about five years ago and it never produced any fruit. I haven't had any luck with Roberta's. I have many plants, flowers and fruit trees and haven't had any problems with any of them that were purchased from other nurseries or home stores. The problem with the warranty on Roberta's plants is when you call them you are told to give plants a little longer to produce and warranty ends. I don't know how many years that they want me to wait for fruit. I'm giving two stars because banana trees and blood orange tree are green. 03-20-14
AMAZING! I bought this for my dad for father's day to go by his pool. They grow like weeds. It took about 3years before he got fruit, but it finally came. Well worth the wait. :) 03-20-14
NO FRUIT While these looked really cool and tropical by our inground pool, they never produced a bit of fruit as promised. Nothing even resembling a banana grew on these plants. They grew very slowly even in total all day bright sun. They did eventually grow almost as tall as the pics, but I purchased a banana tree and was guaranteed fruit which never came. 03-20-14
bad buy Not pleased all my plants have died. The picture is deceiving. 03-02-14
bad purchase I have babied these plants like no other. my husband even got involved, there is no real growth. every new growth dies. no fruit very disappointed. they are sending replacements, don't even want to go thru all the work again would rather have a different plant of equal value. 02-12-14
What happened????? Expected so much more given the on-air presentation. Mine have barely grown - no matter what I have tried. Inasmuch as I have always had a lot of luck with plants ( took a horticulture class which helped) I had NO luck with these plants. My brother planted one in his nc nags head home on the water last year. It has survived better than mine but not by much. Very dissapointed. 01-21-14
Must Need Full Sun - No bananas I grew one inside in a pot and one outside in partial sun. The outside plant grew to about 5ft fall, but made no fruit. I'm going to try to keep the one inside (1.5ft) alive through winter and plant it outside in more sun in the spring to see if it will fruit. By the on air description, I thought this would be fun for my kids to see bananas in the backyard but it didn't work out that way. Has ANYONE grown bananas on these plants in one season????? 01-10-14
Pretty addition to patio We have enjoyed our plant for two years now; We planted it in potting soil treated with nutrients and fed it regularly. It grew so fast and gorgeous that we were making jokes about it infiltrating and taking over. Last winter I thought I had it covered well enough being in Texas but it froze. Cut it completely off thinking it was over. The plant came back so well early spring that it was huge by fall with many offspring. We have so enjoyed it. Even though we fed it regularly.... no fruit ever produced. Even so, we love this plant and it is a gorgeous addition to our patio. Company always comments on how pretty it is and wants a shoot off for their home. The water park in town has many nain plants that have fruit??? Sure wish I knew what their landscaping contractor did differently??? 01-02-14
