Roberta's 10-pc. All-Star Fragrant Re-Blooming Daylilies
I planted the lilies in pots and had sprouts 7 days later. Can't wait to see the results and enjoy the blossoms over a long period of time!
Healthy as usual!
I have been ordering Daylillies from Qvc for over 10 years and must have 50 by now! they will grow just about everywhere you have sun and dirt. They are better and bigger each year! Can't wait to see these bloom as in two weeks they are already 6 inches tall.
Very Healthy root system
I can not wait until these bloom. THe root systems that were sent were in excellent condition. Once in the dirt, they started growing almost immediately!
I received these the first of the month and planted them right away and they are already coming up after about a week and are about 3 inches tall -no blooms yet but it won't be long-I was shocked they came up that fast - can't wait for the blooms now and look forward to them multiplying in the years to come. thanks bring more please
Dried up and scrawny
Just got my order and was disappointed that 4 of the 10 were extremely scrawny or dried up. The veins of truth and vintage candy were the problem bulbs. I planted them anyway, and am hoping that they still grow and bloom. Only time will tell.
All growing and ready to grow!
I received my order and opened it right away. To my surprise, the bulbs were all ready growing and almost poking out the bag! I planted them already and am anxious to see them growing strong and beautiful.
I received these last year and all of them turned out to be yellow. QVC refunded my money with no problems! I feel safer knowing QVC is on my side. I'm trying again this year with my fingers crossed that I get the right colors this time.
Yellow, NOT purple
Mine came up yellow. I already had this color throughout my garden, so I was very disappointed. They are one of the easiest flowers to grow and do hold up very well.
Beautiful but for some of us
For some of us who will be planting in terrible, sandy, little water soil.......water them when you plant them immediately, and keep them moist regularly the first summer. After that, they take off and do amazingly well in that poor soil. I am in Texas. I am in the country and have a very large yard. I have well water and an irrigation system. Most of my yard is beautiful, but some of it has never been worked and the irrigation system doesn't go there. In these areas, I plant this particular daylily. They are beautiful. I have 4 orders ready to ship to me around 3-19.My last order was 4 years ago and they have multiplied and are beautiful. These coming will go in another area with little water and poor soil. I will use a water hose connected to a soaker hose that is all connected by a Y connector to the water well. This is how I will establish these 40 bulbs this summer. After that, they will be established and I will have to do nothing. It gets hot in Texas, especially on sandy soil. I learned some time ago that not even banana trees and daylilies can go it alone for the first year where I live. Maybe this will help someone having trouble. The Roberta's boys are great and I prefer their daylilies, but I know my yard and what I've tried to plant in the past.Their daylilies are the absolute best. I highly recommend.I would like a bigger irrigation system but I have to make do.I love flowers and I keep planting more.
I planted these according to the directions. The flowers were not nearly as big as the ones shown on tv. Also, every time a flower opened, it only lasted about 3 days & then it died.
Got these last year and they all came up yellow. Was so disappointed but did get a refund.
These daylilies are the best. I can't understand some of the negative ratings. Daylilies are the easiest to grow and take a beating. If you haven't had success with these, you might as well not try to grow anything!
