I cant believe no one thought of this sooner! I made spaghetti in it for the first time and it was soooooooo nice to just drop the past in without waiting for it to soften so you can push it down. Such a pain. Being able to just drop it in was great and after it was cooked, I mixed the sauce in the pot and served from it. Large enough to easily handle 2 lbs of pasta with room to mix in sauce etc. Clean up was very very easy.

I bought this pot several years ago, and have used it a lot. I love to cook spaghetti in it, and be able to just drop it in without bending the pasta. I make large quantities of soup, and use an immersion blender in it. It is great for chili too. It is just the right weight--not too heavy and not too light. After many uses, it looks brand new. Not a mark on it, and better than any other pot I own.

Please make your 5qt and 3qt that has the one long handle without the long handle and make like this 8qt. To hard to store anywhere with the long handle. I use your saute pan or this pan almost daily. Do you have a cleaner for the bottom of the pans? After daily use they get discolored on the bottom of pot.

This is my second Rachael Ray pasta pot. I love it. It heats up quickly and evenly, clean-up is a breeze. I keep it on my stove top ready to go at a moment's notice. I've made all kinds of pasta/sauces in it and it is wonderful for soups. Have had and cooked with many, all price ranges, pasta/soup pots and this is the best one I have found. And I love the orange pop of color! It is one of my favorite colors, so happy and cheerful! Good job, Rachael!

i have been looking for the right pot to do pasta dishes. this pot is that pot. the shape is the key to this pot and the easy of making the dishes. Rachael is right that this pot has many uses but pasta is the reason why i bought this pot. one factor you will have to over look is the price but it is worth it. Great pan Rachael. i would recommend this pot to any who enjoys cooking.

After reading all of the great product reviews on this Rachel Ray Hard Anodized 8 qt. oval pasta pot, I decided to go ahead and purchase it. I am so glad I did! The shape is wonderful and it does heat up so quickly. I am thinking about getting the 5 quart to go with it! Great purchase!

I bought this pot, mostly because of the shape. Corn on the cob, lasagna, and spaghetti are perfect in here. It was larger than I expected and holds A LOT of food. Love the pour spout, especially for the foods above. Agree that lid may slip if you're not concentrating where you place it. Any oval pot will do that. The hard anodized is thinner than the Cooks Essentials, but that would be my only very minor complaint. Significantly more substantial than her other pots of the same size and shape.

I received this pain a little over a week ago and I can say I've only used it once. I will say the pan heated evenly through out. I was little worried about that considering the shape of the pan and how it was going to fit on my burner. Clean up was easy.

I love the shape of this pot. It fits on the stove and has even heating. I love the fact that I can use the back burner for another sizeable pot. Clean up is super easy because nothing sticks. The only negative thing I can say is that when you stir the pot, you have to hold it because it slides on the burner because the bottom of the pot is so smooth.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Jena324 Looks great but has flaws
This Pasta Pot looks and feels like a quality piece of cookware. However, I have to agree with other reviewers who have stated the lid can fall into the pot too easily and the spaghetti spills out if you try to use the lid to drain the fluid. These flaws should have been fixed before Rachael Ray included it in her line of cookware. Overall, it does cook evenly and it is great for cooking long pasta. I do not drain my pasta from this pot but use a colander instead.
