Holds a ton of food! Nice pot, holds lots of pasta, etc. Since it is so big, it takes a long time for the water to heat to a boil. You need patients. Also, the non-stick interior is great, however, the grates on my gas stove is scatching the bottom of the pan. That is a little dissappointing so I only gave it 4 stars. 04-11-13

Horrible I thought this pan would be great for long noodles, but the lid does not fit the pan tight enough to drain. Everytime I try to drain the pasta, the lid falls down into the pan. Too late to return, so I will donate it. 04-08-13

Versatile Pot This is a versatile pot. Of course for pasta, but is just the shape for poaching salmon or other fish. I'm glad to have it among my collection of pots and pans. Recommend. 04-05-13

Wow When Rachael Ray said she leaves this pan out on her stovetop, I wondered why anyone would do that. Now I know. I use this pan so often that I SHOULD leave it out. I love this pan. Would like to have the entire set. 03-27-13

Great size great shape This is a wonderful pot. Can be used for so many other things besides spaghetti. Is light so easy to pick up and empty contents or strain through spout. I love this pot. 03-25-13

Please bring back the red pot I have both this and the 5 qt. in the green & love them. My son was here and also thought the two were terrific. I ordered the red 5 qt. for him for Christmas & now want to order the 8 qt pasta pot in red for him also. He thinks these are the greatest ever. I've been waiting since November to order this in red for him. PLEASE bring it back. You'd make us both happy. 03-23-13

LOVE IT!!!! asked for this for christmas, but hubby couldn't take the hint!! ordered it for myself & I LOVE THIS PAN. had previously used a large stockpot with steamer insert for pastas & soups--this worked OK but such a pain to clean. I have cooked all kinds of pasta as well as soup with NO sticking. my daughter even sat it back on the still-hot burner after draining pasta--it did stick slightly but still was an ease to clean up. don't need the dishwasher on this one--it's so simple to wipe out by hand. 03-18-13

Very versatile kitchen staple This is my absolute favorite cooking pot. It handles beautifully on the stop top and it doubles as a roasting pan in the oven. It's perfect! 01-09-13

Indeed The best purchase ever I just love, love,love this pot. it is the greatest.. I have cooked 3 lbs, of cavetelli and 2lbs of other pasta's. They all come out great. I just love the oval shape because it fits great on the gas burners, this pot doesn't interfere with the other pots on the stove while cooking them altogether. I highly recommend this pot. I wish that Rachel would make other pots in this oval shape. 01-06-13

Wanted to love this pot. Flipped over the size and shape of this pot and ordered the first time I saw it. Unfortunately, I had to return because of the fumes it gives off. Will stick with stainless steel for safety. 01-02-13
