Rated 3 out of 5 by from For a light shower Today we had a heavy rain and I wore this out . Came home with wet hair and wet clothes. It's a cape, so it doesn't have sleeves, thus the arms will get wet. The button at the neck is hard to button when you realize you need to "button up" as the rains are becoming heavier. The top of my shirt got very wet, because at the neck it isn't a really secure closure, so there is some space for rain to get in. Fine for a nice summer shower, but for a rainstorm, no. On the positive side, The part that the rain couldn't get through was very dry. The rain didn't go through the fabric, and it actually rolled off the fabric. Also, it is comfortable to wear because it isn't rubberized in any way, so you won't sweat underneath it in warm weather. Bottom line: Summer shower, fine. Heavy rains, it won't protect you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lightweight Bought this last year. Looked it up today to see the fabric, because I'm going to make one, maybe several for gifts. I agree that the price is WAY too high, but I bought it to have a stylish coverup for a trip to Alaska. I think I will modify it somewhat to address some of the negative issues that have been addressed by other buyers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too expensive for what you get To justify anywhere near the price the material would need to be of better quality & quantity, a snap or two to close into sleeves, if only to secure it closer to your body to keep from getting wet & add another button to the neck area. Offering it in a couple of sizes would be great, misses & plus, perhaps. The tall ladies could order the larger one so that it would hang far enough for them not to get wet & the added snaps under the arms would keep it secure. It doesn't have to have 10 different sizes. Some of the other reviews defended it by saying its a wrap, I don't know anyone who'd pay THAT much for a thin, flyway wrap. I think these are the same ones that were on Gromment sometime late 2014 early 2015. The same complaints were received on their reviews as well. I'd hoped those issues had been addressed. Wonderful idea. I'd buy & keep several if the changes were made & they lowered the price point by half.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good idea--but... This was too light. The slightest breeze blew it all over. Arm coverage was not sufficient. The idea is fine because I need a cape(rain poncho) to wear over other capes, sweats, or coat but this doesn't work. Sorry to leave a negative review, but this cost way too much money to just let it go without speaking out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Even Water Resistant Totally failed the test. So disappointing as nice style.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I had read reviews before orfering The only thing I like about this is that the material is colorful and light weight. Otherwise IMO it is cheaply made (especially for the price!) and offers little or no protection from the rain. The front is more like a scarf. A good idea, just needs better execution. Returning for refund. :O(

Rated 2 out of 5 by from ONE SIZE FITS VERY FEW NOT MOST Living in the Seattle area I'm always up for any rain gear besides plastic, this actually does that. I like the fabric and if it repels a down pour I'm all for it, but make sizes instead of a medium trying to pass as a fix for all. I'm a size large to Xlarge, 5'6" woman and there is no way I could hug a purse under this let alone the sides of my body and arms, it fit like a collar instead of a poncho. The other reason I purchased this is to support someone with a good idea. The only thing is, the product was skimped on when at this price point it could have been more generous. Make it in sizes like XS S M L XL etc.. maybe tabs on the sides in case of wind. This is high stylin' for rain gear, just needs tweaking. Sorry, I'm returning this because one size does not fit most in this case. Nice to have options instead of the age old, ugly plastic people have to throw on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love x2 people Bought for my elderly mom in florida (and for me in Connecticut ) we both love. She likes because it is lightweight for floida. It is meant for when u get caught and its raining. It is not long like the plastic trashbag disney cape. But not meant to be. Perfect to keeep in car or purse. Would make a good gift too
