philosophy miracle worker miraculous anti-aging 3pc essentials kit
I really love this product. It has made a big difference in my skin. Love it! I wish that this kit was not discontinued! Please bring it back! Thanks.
Ehhhhhhhh--- not so sure
Maybe this would suit me better in the fall/winter. I have oily skin and (especially the moisturizer) it's very heavy.
The cleanser is 'okay' but the pads are scratchy- doesn't seem to hold much liquid, and the moisturizer doesn't seem to sink in.
I still and will probably always use Purity to cleanse my skin- I wear very little makeup yet it seems to do a great job of getting rid of the grime my skin accumulates throughout the day.
I think I'll go back to PTR- much better in the warmer months.
Not A Fan
I like most Philosophy products that I have tried. However, the face wash and retinoid pads in this kit are too harsh for my sensitive skin. I do like the moisturizer for use at night. Unfortunately, I'll be returning these products.
Best Skin Regiment for Me!
I use the Vitamin C peel weekly and this kit helps me maintain the smooth, fresh peel look after I complete my weekly peel. The daily exfoliating pads and washes with the beads did not work for me with my dry skin. I use the lactic acid cleanser every morning and in the evening use Purity (not in this kit) with my Clarisonic so this ensures I have my makeup removed and have a clean face for my retinold treatment. I'm in my mid 50's and think I don't have many wrinkles because I exfoliate weekly, but the retinoid pads are an easy way to add to my preventive regiment since I am getting older and should be using additional anti-aging products.
on the fence
This seemed like good value. I'd been meaning to try the retinol pads, so for a few dollars more, worth trying the moisturizer and new cleanser also. Although it has not irritated my skin as some have mentioned, I do think I've broken out more than usual. My skin tends to be somewhat on the oily side, so not sure if the moisturizer is a bit too heavy, or the lactic acid cleanser may be the cause or a combo.
I do like the way my skin feels after using the cleanser in the AM. I don't use it as an evening cleanser, which was clearly pointed out during the presentation that it was not intended to be, recommended only as a AM cleanser. (So that may be a problem some of the other reviewers have mentioned, that it doesn't remove make-up, etc., it wasn't meant to replace your evening cleanser).
I'm not sure if I notice a major of enough difference to continue the A-D.
I'm leaning towards cancelling my A-D...would probably buy the retinol pads separately, and would still buy the lactic acid cleanser if it was sold separately. Think I am least likely to buy the moisturizer...it seems too heavy for me and does not absorb well (as others have mentioned).
But I'm glad I tried it, and would say to others it would not hurt to try the kit, as you can try a few different/newer products at a good price.
This is one of my fist Philosophy purchases. I got it on A-D and have just recieved my second delivery. I love what this has done for my skin. I am just about to turn 52 and this kit is just what my skin needed. The fine lines are barley there, overall tone is more even, dark spots have lightened and my skin is much softer, smoother and more firm. would love to see the new miracle worker eye cream and the miracle worker cocentrate included in this kit. Thank you Philosophy for wonderful products and Thank you QVC for the easy pay!
Cleanser A MAJOR Disapointment
I have used philosophy products since they were first introduced on QVC. Started at the beginning, then went to When Hope is Not Enough and onto Miracle Worker. I am 76 and have good skin thanks to genes and philosophy. This cleanser is the most awful thing I have ever put on my face and it never feels clean. I have used the pads and moisturizer for a long time and will continue with them but it's back to Purity for me and into the trash for the cleanser. I will never buy another kit where it is included.
The cleanser is not an improvement on the Purity & Microdelivery Wash system I'm used to....will go back to MD Wash for AM. I like the way my skin feels in the morning after using the pads & moisturizer....very smooth and seems hydrated (would recommend a try). That being said, I can't say I've seen significant improvement in my pore size or other signs of aging. Age spots do seem a bit lighter tho'. Plan to get off A-D of this kit since not 100% sold on it.
Not for me
Hoped not for a miracle, but at least for improvement. I saw none after two months of diligent use. Large pores, oily skin and melasma, fine lines and wrinkles. Check out rating on GoodGuide. Contains ingredient that raises medium level of health concern. Ingredients in pad liquid read like an advanced chemistry class.
has not worked for me
So disappointed so far... I have major discoloration and large pores with oily skin. The moisturizer feels like it never sinks into my skin it just sits on top of it so I have only been using it at night. The pads are scratchy and I haven't noticed any difference in my skin tone as of yet but I will continue to use it until the last drop and hope it does something soon. The cleanser I do not care for either..it is not bad just average.
worked at first
These items worked great for the first two weeks. Then all of a sudden my cheeks became bright red and I am all broken out. I do have sensitive skin but have had no issues with other Philosophy products. The Miracle Worker moisturizer stings when I apply it and smells very harsh. Sorry but I will be returning.
I already regularly use these retinoid pads, so when this came on as a TSV set, I didn't hesitate to try -- just in case I loved the other products, too. The value of the set is really great if you're just trying one or more of the products, and of course if you end up loving two or three, it's worth locking in the A-D for the savings on the pads and the lotion. For me, though, I don't plan to continue using the moisturizer, as it doesn't perform better or even as well as what I usually use for nighttime. And it just plain doesn't work well on my skin for daytime. It's a quality lotion but just isn't right for my skin, which is more normal than dry. I was hoping to see it have an effect on fine lines and/or firmness, but I don't see anything different at all and already get good results from using WHINE serum and HIAJ moisturizer for day, the retinoid pads at night + my other night cream from a different brand. Regarding the cleanser/mask: I like it best as the mask and enjoy using it for a quick couple of minutes before my shower. But for cleansing I much prefer my stalwart Purity and don't see a need for the mask (as pleasant as it is) in my regimen. I'm obviously keeping and using up the full kit but canceled my A-D option -- and, again, I would recommend it for someone with drier skin or anyone wanting to try the products at a lower price. You can't beat this value if the products work great for you!
