Great for entertaining I bought this as a gift and also for myself. The tea is good and it was really fun watching the flower bloom. I also like how it has the diffuser to add my own tea. 12-08-10
Great concept but... I bought this as a gift for my tea drinking daughter to use at her work station thinking she'd have a nice conversation piece with her morning tea all in one. When we opened up the box there was a really small loose piece of glass in the pitcher. We examined it thoroughly but couldn't figure out where it came off from. It was really cool to see the flower blossom out but the tea has a earthy taste. We had to send back as after a few times when we noticed a long crack in the difuser with a chip. That must be where the piece of glass came from. Great concept but just not for us. 03-17-10
a terrefic treat when it's tea for two or tweny I first experienced Primula Flowering Teas about a year ago when visiting a family friend back east and thought it was just the coolest thing ever. I showed it to my daughter who was engaged at the time and she adored the tea and the beautiful flower that blooms as the tea is brewed so much that we decided to order a bunch of them to serve at her bridal shower. They were such a success that when my older daughter had her baby shower about month ago no only served the flowering tea at the party but we got one as a party favor for each of the guests. It's such a classy and unique product that everyone really enjoys even if they aren't a tea drinker. 02-25-10
What am I doing wrong ? This just doesn't work for me like they showed on TV. My flower does not rest on the bottom....it floats. And by the time the flower produced any color, the water was cold. I looked forward to getting this but I must not be smart enough too use it. The pod came apart so I sure can't see using it more than once. Any suggestions would be welcome.... 02-25-10
Disappointed I ordered this as I and my friends love tea, plus I host a number of meetings at my home throughout the year. The teapot is fine. The tea flowers are fun to watch. However, there is absolutely no taste to the tea. I let it brew for over 5 minutes and there was still no taste. As my guests enjoy watching the flower, I do that but put in a good brand of tea bag with it, so the tea has a nice flavor. If you want something visual, this is fine--if you want a good cup of tea, this is not the product. 02-22-10
A novelty This was fun to do the first time. The tea flower does not last for 3 usages. I would say only one. The tea is very light tasting. Fun idea. 02-19-10
Disappointed This order took forever to arrive and thankfully it wasn't a Christmas gift because it came well after 12/25. I was disappointed in the teas' flavor and taste. I followed the brewing instructions explicitly on each tea flower I have tried (3), and all three "flowers" I brewed produced a nasty, un-tea-like flavor. I did not enjoy or finish any of the three pots I brewed, despite hoping the next one would taste better, and I will not use the remaining flowers. It's a novelty gift and is somewhat entertaining to watch the flowers "bloom," but the tea itself is truly awful. All is not lost with this product, however. I will use the glass pot and diffuser to brew my own favorite loose-leaf teas. 01-01-10
"BEST GIFT EVER" I bought this for my step-mother for Christmas. She loves tea and when I saw it on air, I knew it would be perfect for her. She LOVES it!! She made tea right away and giggled like a little girl when the flower started to bloom. She said to me, "I've gotten a lot of gifts in my life, but this is the best gift I've ever received." She called me later in the day, to again thank me, and told me she had called my brother so he could come over and look at her tea pot. It was nice to make her so happy!! 12-28-09
Experimental Trial Run Christmas Dinner Tea I received the Tea Pot Set as a Christmas gift. Not to sure if I'll truly like it yet. When my grandson saw the flower blooming he asked, are you going to drink that.....I said yes....his comment was...."OH YUMMY!" However, one person cannot drink the whole pot of tea right away and it does not say in the instructions if the flower should be removed after initial brewlng time, then replaced in the tea pot when empty to be brewed again. Anyone got an answer to this? 12-27-09
Did not work as shown in the photo The tea is very good. However, the flower did not stay on the bottom, but rather floated to the top and some particles were in the tea. 12-26-09
Quaint, aromatic tea.... My doc told me to drink green tea and cut back on the coffee. In the past I've tried green tea and its tasted like grass to me - yuck. This green tea has a wonderful smell and the taste is very smooth. I'm a sugar type of gal, but this tea tastes so good it doesn't require sugar. I don't know how great this tea pot would be loose tea - the glass infusor has a slit in the bottom...not as fine as the wire basket. Still I think for the price and the tea too, this is a great value. 12-22-09
