Not a good purchase This product holds water in it after it has been washed and then it have water stain all over the dish drainer and the screws get rusty after two washes. 02-09-09
great!,one little quirck I love that it keeps my dough even. The first time I washed it it filled with water (not a problem) just set it up on end and it drained. 01-12-09
Needs Work The concept of this item is a good one which has great possibilities. The disks should have a more secure way of being attached to the rolling pin. They have a tendency to pop off. Also, the disks should be marked with their size. Now you have to guess what disk to use or keep the enclosed instruction sheet in front of you. It would also be nice to have a case for the disks when they are not in use. I think with a little thought this could be made to be a great item for anyone who bakes. For now I will keep it, but hope that there is an improved version being worked on. 12-31-08
great idea but... I love the rolling pin itself but the rings do not stay in place. We tried putting them on all different ways but as soon as you start rolling out the dough they pop off. Great concept but needs some work 12-22-08
Good idea, but rusted There was a spot on mine that the glaze? was rusted off like. I don't really know how to describe it but I could tell it would have rusted with washings. Or peeled, either way it went back. 12-21-08
Love it! Glad to have the reviews to read about the proper way to put on the rings so they won't slide off. I bought this for my sister-in-law who does a lot of baking and has been using a glass for her rolling pin...poor thing! Whether she uses the rings or not, at least she has a rolling pin. Great product! 11-24-08
GREATEST!!!! Rolling Pin Great product. It shipped very quickly. I LOVE IT!!! It is the best. No more guessing the thickness of cookies and pie crusts. It does it for you. All you need to do is roll. It is so easy that children can use it and be successful at rolling perfect size dough. Great confidence builder. No more lop sided cookies at our house! I called the company with some questions. They are wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable and really care about their customers. Great people to deal with. I can't wait to see what they have next. I would really like a little 7" also. Would make a GREAT GIFT for anyone! 11-20-08
Great Idea! I never used to do much baking that required rolling out dough because of the hassle of trying to make all the cookies or pie crusts the same thickness. Not anymore! This rolling pin has a great design, is heavy duty, and easy to use. The disks go on with just a light push and a turn to click and lock in. If your disks are falling off, you have them on backwards; the ridge goes on the inside. This rolling pin is sturdier and heavier than it looks on TV . I have no doubt it will last for as long as I am able to be in the kitchen. 11-07-08
Fantastic!! I recieved this rolling pin as a wedding shower gift. All my friends know I love to bake, to do the "Martha Stewart" thing. The disks click on easily and are firmly attached. I have had not problems with them coming off. In fact, my nieces and nephews have helped me roll out the dough for cut out cookies using this rolling pin. Even children rolling out dough it came out perfect and no disks coming off. I keep my dough cold so I have had not issue with the dough sticking to the rolling pin. If it does stick a little flour and problem solved, not an issue. I have also used the rolling pin for pie crusts and biscuts and everything has baked perfectly even. It has always been my frustration to roll dough out at the correct thickness but no more. I am thrilled with the results. Next I am going to try making noodles using the rolling pin. This was the perfect gift for me. A staple for every kitchen!! 10-31-08
rolling pin would have been nice, but when end rings hit dough, they cut dough right threw. am sending back because i have another non sticck rolling pin i bought and love it. 10-28-08
Works fine Came quickly and was well packaged but I noticed one of the caps on the end of the handle was in pieces, it doesn't effect the pin itself but I will need to be careful when washing to make sure no liquid remains inside to mold, and I also wonder if the handles will break off or the ends where the size adjusters clip into will be durable over the long haul. This pin itself would be great if they had made it of silicone. I like the idea of being able to roll doughs to the exact thickness I need instead of always having one part come out a little thinner or thicker. It will be great when my grandchildren want to help in the kitchen, they get frustrated when they can't roll things out as thin as I do, with Christmas coming up soon we will be rolling lots of pierogies and cookies. 10-27-08
Great Pin--not overly impressed by plastic slides Purchased this rolling pin as I have the hardest time getting my dough even. I made sugar cookies first and one of the red slides kept slipping off. I thought maybe I was pushing down too hard so I tried a little lighter touch, but still no luck. I am also used to rolling dough that is wider than the pin is long. With the depth slides on the pin, you end up running tracks into the dough. I like the pin, it'll just take some getting used to. 10-24-08
