Don't spend another summer swatting at fruit flies. Send those pesky, persistent insects away by first drawing them in. How? Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didnt' catch one fruit fly Don't waste your money! Used the recommended mixture, and it never caught one fly. Looks nice, but area to hold mixture is way too small, leaks all over.....even had to put it in a bowl to avoid ruining my wood surface.....floors or windowsill. I noticed someone saying they thought the feet leaked, but I did too, until I realized it was leaking due to overfill.....looks nice but waste of money if trying to catch flies....does not work for intended purpose, but still is cute so gave it one star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this thing! I'll tell ya- I was skeptical about this item, but it's been a terrible year for fruit flies, s I decided to give this a try. I figured if it didn't work, at least it's pretty and would look nice on a windowsill. About 2-3 days after getting this & setting it up, I emptied it expecting to find zero fruit flies. To my amazement, I counted 35 dead fruit flies! Since then, I haven't seen any more fruit flies around, but I empty this thing about every 5-7 days and generally count about 10 dead fruit flies. I got the plum, btw. Very pretty!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fly away Have so many fruit flies and this does the trick in an inconspicuous way. Wish it would hold more liquid.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pretty bug catcher I ordered this in the pear and it is really pretty. It did not come with any instructions or suggestions but I put a little red wine and a squirt of dish detergent inside since I know the gnats always fly into my wine outside. I also left the topper off since I couldn't imagine that the fruitflies would find their way underneath and why make it difficult for them? It's hard to see if the fruitflies are inside so I wasn't sure if it was working but when I poured it out in the sink it was full of the fruitflies. Therefore, i'm quite happy with this purchase. it's doing what I bought it to do.
