Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pilates Reformer vs Pilates Pro Chair I wanted to write a review for those that love pilates machines. I have both the aeropilates reformer and this pilates pro chair for reference. The Pilates Pro Chair was delivered by UPS yesterday and I set it up right away. There isn't any assembly EXCEPT the handle bars on the side which slide in and click. If for some reason you are assembling this chair I am questioning whether we received the same product. I will say that they package this chair extremely well with a ton of wrap on all of the parts so it does not get scratched or damaged in shipping. I was annoyed that I couldn't get all the plastic off underneath the seat(OCD) you will not see that, however, unless you are constantly looking underneath the seat. This chair does fold up nice and flat for the most part which is very convenient for those with limited space! I will say it is pretty heavy and that is great and makes it a stable piece of equipment. Anyways back to the review. So I've used this chair twice already since receiving it and I do like the chair. However, I do not feel like I am getting the same workout as I do with my Aeropilates machine. I can do a 15 minute workout on my Aeropilates and feel great all day long. My posture is more erect and my core is on fire along with my legs. Lets just say my whole body is getting a workout on the Aeropilates. With the Pilates Pro Chair I feel as though my core gets a mediocre workout and the rest of my body is left wanting more. I walked away from both workouts feeling as though I didn't do anything. When I buy a piece of workout equipment I want to feel as though I did something and my body will be rewarded for the time and effort it put in. I am a stay at home mom of three children and I need to be able to get a quick effective workout in. And this machine left me feeling disappointed. I feel like this machine would be effective for those just looking for something to do in front of a TV, or for those who need something gentle to help them become active. Please take my review with a grain of salt. I'm not knocking this machine because if it helps you then that is great but for someone with limited time I need a more effective machine.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I Wanted To Love It But.... pros: cute little thing! Doesn't take up a ton of space and yet it felt sturdy. Cons: A few issues I had with this: Springs seemed to get loud as I used it more, seemed a little tough switching from low to high spring so I mainly kept it on 1 tension only, and i had trouble feeling like I was really getting a good workout. Admittedly I did not watch any videos that came in the box but did exercises I saw on TV. It definitely requires 2 people to put thus together - could not have done it without my husband. I think this would be best for ages 50

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good workout! Have been using this Pilates chair for 4 weeks. I am in my mid sixties and have found the chair easy to use but not all the positions. Some of the work out positions are too difficult at this time...maybe as I get more flexible and increase my endurance they will be easier to do. It gives a could cardio workout and I have seen my posture and overall physical stamina improve. I had the large Pilates reformer but it's size limited where I could place it...no DVD tv access. The chair takes up less real estate and can't wait for good weather to take it outside. It does take a while to keep changing the springs so when using the DVDs you have to pause the workout. And yes it takes another person to unpack the chair and initially set it up. Overall I am happy with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned Mine arrived damaged. The bracket that the pin slides through was completely bent over on one side. The box arrived in good condition and it was packaged very well. I find it hard to believe that it was damaged during shipping. I am almost positive that I received an item that had been returned before. NOT good QVC. I do NOT want to purchase returned merchandise!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets a little boring I never thought I could complain about too much packaging but opening this was a workout in itself. I spent every bit of a half hour just getting it out of the box. I see no way it could be possible to receive a damaged item. Plastic to protect the underside of the seat was put on before assembly so it has bolts holding it on. I had to tear it off and it still has plastic sticking out around the bolts. As for using the item, I find it repetitive and boring, but that's the case with any exercise. I had a hard time figuring out how to set it up for use. It was really quite simple, I just had to ponder,, until a light in my head came on. It took a lot of studying the pictures on the box. It is difficult to close for storage & moving, as the knob to pull out is very stiff. Overall, I recommend it. I'm not really disappointed, just pointing out my observations. It's easy to exercise and stretch while watching tv, also very quiet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so great I waited a long time to receive this exercise machine in the gray color. Unfortunately, I didn't find the exercises easy to perform and they cumbersome moving from one exercise to another. The clips were really hard to take and move from one exercise. Hence in the process you loose your momentum. I returned it,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I had waited for this to come back in stock and ordered it as soon as I saw it was back. I got it home and set it up and started doing the exercises listed on the chart. Everything felt good and it was working well and it was quiet, something that is important to me living in an apartment. The next day, I tried to do the same routine and the springs started to squeak, loud. I didn't know what had changed. I did everything the instructions said, but the squeak just got louder and louder. It was nerve wracking. Anyway, I tried WD40, and that did not work. So I cleaned it up and repacked it and sent it back. I had such high hopes. Guess they are only quiet the first time you use them. It did feel good using it, and I would have loved it if it wouldn't have had that awful squeak.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is a nice machine I like using this. I feel my muscles getting stronger and I feel good. My only complaint is that it makes a lot of noise when using it. The springs squeak and rattle a lot. So if you are a mom with little ones and you think you can do this while they nap, or you want to do this while someone in the house is sleeping or doesn't want to disturbed, it might not be good for you. I love the videos, they are easy to follow and the host is pleasant to listen to on repeat everyday. No crazy weird music or irritating banter. This is a great alternative to going to a gym.
