Philips 50" Class 5000 Series Smart Ultra HDTV is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Have connection problems Picture is very good but was unable to connect the wifi. I am a systems tech so I know some things about networking etc.. I finally gave up on the wifi and hard wired it. It will also make me log into Netflix about every 3 days --which it shouldn't do.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Was really looking forward to owning my first smart tv, but now that it’s up and running I wish I would have researched a lot more. I did a quick review but have to admit I assumed too much. On the box it referred to 100+ apps so I thought these would be preloaded. I bought it primarily for Amazon Prime access through WiFi only to discover this is not available. In addition only a few apps are preprogrammed and additional apps may not be downloaded. Not at all impressed with Samba either! I would really like to return and get my money back!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No Amazon Prime App on my 5000 series No Amazon Prime Videos App and no way to add the app to this smart tv. This needs to be fixed some way for your customers! Huge mistake Philips!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from smart but dumb I have had this unit for about a month. The unit sometimes responses slowly to remote control commands. While operating the vol. control, unit sometimes shuts off. You can turn it back on normally. The software upgrade from the website fails stating that the software in the unit is newer than the upgrade. When we first plugged in the headphone jack, a load buzzing was head thru headphone or external speakers that were attached. The dumb part is that no program description is given for any station or program whereas our old CRT tv and converter box always had.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NetTV needs facelift, Also only 60hz I constantly get an error message on netflix which causes me to re-type my username and password every time. This brings up my next issue that the remotes response seems to be super slow and doesn't register every click which is frustrating especially with having the Netflix issue. Aside from those issues, it looks pretty good. It was also difficult to find that it was only 60hz which can be misleading seeming that on the box it says "120 perfect motion rate"

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not really a smart tv Got this product think it was going to be great, smart tv 4k great. I will be able to get some apps and finally not have to have other devices on my tv so that I cant watch from hulu and other apps. but you cant even download other apps its only the apps that they have on the tv. if I would of know that about Philips TV's I would of bought another brand that allows he person to download apps that they like if this doesn't change first and last time I buy a Philips t.v

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great overall EXCEPT! Just bought 2 of these and disappointed right out of the box. No amazon app and no way of installing it. Now forced to either buy another smart device (i.e ps4, blu-ray player, XBOX, etc.) Or roku. The point of a smart tv is to avoid extra purchases and wired devices strung all over the dang place.
