A214724 - Peter Thomas Roth Rewind the Clock InstantFirmXFace & Eye Duo
Not Worth It!
Both of these products left very noticeable white residue. No matter how thin or how thickly it was applied, and even mixed in with moisurizer, it showed on your skin. Need to improve this formula
Tried and tried to get this too work.Know matter what it still left a white film where I put it. Even had my sister try it and she had same results. Hardly ever send anything back but this went back. Dont waste your time or money!
I was hooked the first time I used this after receiving it in the mail. I put a very thin layer on clean skin and skip any other products that would break down the product. This is a temporary fix and I use it for special events. I do not like to not apply my other products from this line so for me, everyday use would not be good for my dry skin. But when I do use it, it works great. After applying as directed, I continue to apply my make up as usual. Concealer, foundation, etc. It works for hours and hours. i got two of these sets but now wish I had gotten 3 or 4. Please bring this back. Works so perfectly!
Erased ten years from my face!!
I am very cautious of these products, but I respect the opinion of Dr. Oz. When this came on the air with free shipping I tried it. This product is great! I think the people with the problems are not following the instructions. You can put your moisturizers on and makeup. I really think my face looked like it did ten years ago. Love it! I am hooked.
I tried but.....
Dr. Oz recommended this but he has a professional makeup artist applying it. I sent it back after following directions and taking into consideration the many negative reviews here and not getting good results. Too much effort for too little improvement. The white residue was difficult to remove without rubbing and I had white streaks on my face long after leaving the house. I found a tightener at the drug store for little money that does not leave a residue and works just fine. Buying cosmetics or beauty products or perfume from a shopping channel is risky and we're stuck with shipping costs both ways to return the items.
Product does job !!
Although this product does do what it states it will do there is only one major problem. The White film that appears after drying somewhat kills the thrill of its performance. It erases some of the aging and sun damage but if only Mr. Roth could address the drying whiteness that appears. Other than that I would rate it an 8 1/2 on a scale to 10. Have used several of Peter Thomas Roth products and his ideas and products do what they say. Let it be known as well he does state that white substance will appear once completely dried. However, I will continue to use this product for the overall improvenment that it does provide nonetheless. Perhaps his staff will come up with a new and improved version of this product that corrects the current white leftover film on the skin. The Neys out weights the Heys pertaining to this product.
sent it back
did not do what it claimed - left white residue - sent it back
Better than most
I have tried several other similar products with very little success - I really liked this one specially the eye product.
As with all such items there is a learning curve to its use but the secret really is to be very sparing.in aplication. I found that I did not need any other make up with the facial product.
At least we all agree
Why would anyone make a product that as soon as you put something on top, it negates any positives that it had going for it? Nobody, and I mean nobody that would wear a product like this would not have at least one product that would be applied on top. What about concealer, foundation, or SPF in a moisturizer to say the very least. I just do not understand. It worked fine for the 2 minutes before my next beauty step. Needless to say, it is already in the mail coming back.
Did we all miss something?
When was I told, and where is it? I dislike downgrading a product with potential, had I only known this one apparently can't successfully be used with anything else on the face. My face never sees daylight without some kind of moisturizer or sunscreen, so how could I successfully use this product? The residue is not a problem, and further, I expect it. The procuct literature tells me so. Pat it off with a damp cloth. Easy. But like other reviewers, I put on my moisturizer and voila! Back to square one! Will it tolerate a baked powder? A finely miled loose powder? Anything? I've got spots to cover, uneven skin tone, etc. and so I'm afraid this product doesn't take care of all my needs on its own. And doesn't allow me to use products with it that will. I, too, am tired of so many products that fail to deliver on their promises.
I did not like the residue remaining after the product was gently removed.
Any positive effect that this product has is totally lost after applying moisturizer and primer. I am returning this today.
I have used two other temporary face firmers, with little satisfaction. The first time I used Peter Roth's I followed instructions carefully. I was really very pleased, especially when compared to others. The second time I used it, I applied more heavily. I discovered, it was totally unsatisfactory and masklike when apllied more heavily. I believe the secret is to apply smoothly and sparingly, just to needed areas. I applied sparingly to clean skin & did not apply moisturizer after. I lightly applied make-up and I was just amazed. I felt it took at least five years off.
I love it and will use it occfassionally.
