Pelmen (3) 19 oz. Bags of Fruit Filled Perogies
They were not very good I tried cooking in water and they were too doughy and sour. tried deep fryng them. they didn't crunch very well the dough was still too tough. The cherry ones were so sour. I tried them with powder sugar, chocolate sauce. Didn't help. Don't waste your time. Wish I would have sent them back but waited to long to try them.
I ordered this product a few months ago and finished the remainder last week. They were chewy and bland. Frankly, my dog enjoyed them more than I did. I most certainly have tasted better; save your money.
me and my family LOVE to eat!!! but NOT these...YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tried multiple ways to prepare . . . their instructions on the packaging and on the tv demo . . . still chewey, reallllllly chewey, lots of dough. Just could not appreciate. Even when baked after boiling, applying the brushing of butter/sugar . . . nothing worked. Would never purchase again.
Tried fixing them numerous ways. All u taste is dough. Beyond bad.
I ordered these perogies to bring back memories of my childhood. I have to say these are terrible! They were like chewing a mouthful of paste filled with a bit of canned fruit pie filling. They are mushy and very unappetizing.
I tried both methods of cooking. Small amt of boil time then pan fried lightly, longer boiling time then drained. Nothing enhanced the dough. Im sure they are meant to be chewy but not tough. I only tried the cherry and it was pretty good except for the dough
Dough is tough
Love perogies and was intrigued, but the dough is tough, no matter how you cook them.
Not worth the money.
I just made the blueberry ones. They were delicious. I boiled them according to directions and then I just drained them. I put Reddi Whip on the side. Outstanding. I will order again!!!!
I was really anxious to get these, and I made a few as soon as they arrived. I love potato and cheese pierogies, as well as potato and sauerkraut pierogies; but I never heard of fruit filled pierogies before. Mine were inedible, no question about it. I tried all the flavors, with equally bad results. Because of my anticipation, I came back and read reviews and watched the video again. I don't get it. No one would be able to eat the ones I prepared as they did in the presentation. I had to throw mine in the garbage.
They arrived well packaged, and they looked excellent in the frozen form. The directions aren't complicated, but mine did not turn out presentable. Some of them split in the boiling water. I mean the surface of the pierogie, not the seam. Those had to be removed from the water because the filling was oozing out, but the inside of the wrapper wasn't cooked. I fried them in a little butter and sprinkled with powdered sugar, but UGH!!! I am willing to accept responsibility for poor prep, but I don't know what else to do to prepare them.
These treats looked so good on TV, but when I rec'd them and cooked them per the instructions they were awful, way too sweet for me, I had to discard the Blueberry. What is the covering made out of? It's like eating rubber. Anyway I have learned an expensive lesson not to buy food thru QVC any more.....
I was very disappointed with this purchase. The size of the perogies are at least half the size that I am use to.
90 perogies for $39.00 is extremely misleading because they are about 2 inches in size.
The dough was rubbery like a wet noodle. The filling I must say was good and had alot of pieces of fruit.
