Vionic w/ Orthaheel Zoe Orthotic Double Gore Slip-on Shoes
OUCH!!!! Way Below Standards!!!
I have purchased multiple pairs of Vionic mules, sneakers and flip flops, and loved all of them. These however are by far the worst shoes I have ever worn! Right from the moment I put them on they hurt my arches and feet. Why the soles on these shoes are so hard I don't know. Definitely going back!!!!

While I usually love Orthaheel, this shoe was disappointing. It was difficult to get on the foot and once on, it felt like the toe box was constructed incorrectly. Just didn't have enough room in that area. Going back, hope can find another slip on.
I have several pair of Orthaheel sandals and 2 pair of Orthaheel slippers and I love them. This is my first pair of cold weather shoes by Orthaheel. I wear a 7 or 71/2 depending on the shoe. My sandals and slippers are all a size 7, but these shoes are a 7 1/2 and fit great. The leather is a bit stiff right now because they are new, but my guess is that as soon as I break in the leather, these will be my go-to-shoes all fall/winter. I have plantar fasciitis and arthritis in my ankles and knees and when I wear any Orthaheel, I get much relief from my pain. I'm waiting anxiously for more fall/winter styles. Thanks Vionic Orthaheel!!!!
Just buy these for your feet now!!
I put these on and thought I was born again ,with great posture and no bunyon. I felt taller when I walked and had energy. They were comfortable from the start but wore in the house first. The next day I wore them all day. Like walking in massaging soft sand with no grit.
So comfortable, What are you waiting for?
Comfy bottom but rubbed on top of toe
When I first put this shoe on I thought it was comfortable, very cushy. Then I walked around the house and boxed it up to send back. The stiff leather at the toe rubbed. Vionic get better leather!
Feels a little clunky.
I gave these 4☆s because they do feel a bit clunky; otherwise so far so good. After reading some of the reviews I've been watching for some of the negative things attributed to these shoes. I just hope that they're going to stay in the condition they're in long after the 30 days are up.
Comfortable, used as work shoe, but......
I got these to wear as a work shoe, I work in a hospital and am on my feet all day. They were really great. I have bad knees and own several pairs of ortho heels, my problem is they started peeling and now they look bad, of course the way I wear them I need to get new inserts, but to spend money on inserts to put in a shoe that looks bad. I don't think so. Wish they were leather . Make them in leather I would buy them again. I must say as a casual shoe they would be great . But to pricey for a non leather shoe
Lasted less than a year
I agree with other reviewers that this shoe is too expensive for non-leather. I always wore leather only but decided to try this shoe. Because they were so comfortable and made me feel very stable ( I have really bad knees ) I wore these very frequently. They now look shabby after 11 months and even though I want another pair, I would like to see these at a more realistic price. I am retired so it's not like I was running around all day in them. I usually don't wear my shoes out. I was pleasantly surprised when one friend said they were cute!
I bought these shoes for work as I can not wear sandals or open backed shoes. They have a nice arch support but that's all. The finish is peeling off and they do not have the awesome orthaheel footbed I know, love and need.My feet were killing me by the middle of the day. Maybe the orthaheel people should figure out how to incorporate their good footbed into real shoes before they continue making inferior ones.
These shoes saved me
I put on these shoes and knew immediately that it was something I never experienced. I have bad knees and I have tried all of the top name shoes and hiking shoes and sport shoes, etc etc. You name it I have it. I have also bought other Orthaheels that I was sorry I purchased. My in-step is high and the shoes don't take that into account on the top of the shoe so that in 1 hour I am in excruciating pain. HOWEVER, this particular shoe is AMAZING. I need knees replaced. I am fairly young and I walk like I am 101 yrs old. I put these on and my husband, who never notices anything, commented. "What is different? I haven't seen you walk so well in such a long time. Wow!!" It supported my arch properly and aligned my ankles to my knees to my hips. I have worn these every single day for 1 year and they are still going strong. There definitely is some wear and I am back for my second pair. These shoes gave me a new lease on life. I never believed I could hike the Grand Canyon on my vacation last year--brought tears to my eyes.
This shoe is really painful to wear. The arch support is raised in the wrong spot. The shoes, although rarely worn, have lost color on the toe. When I do wear them, I have to swap the insole with my Orthaheel athletic shoes. I only wear Orthaheel now and love especially the Molly, but these are terrible.
Can't recommend these
Love the ortho heel idea. Can wear them right out of the box. Unfortunately as others have noted they do not wear well over even a short period of time. After 6 months of intermittent use the outside material is cheap and chips off. For the price of the shoe it should be made with leather. I would like to purchase a second pair but will not until they are made with a better material meant for shoes.
