Orthaheel Zoe Orthotic Double Gore Slip-on Shoes
This shoe is comfortable but the materials are a very cheap quality. Like many other reviewers, the material on the toe and the seam line started flaking away after the first wearing of the shoe. I would buy this shoe in every color if the material was a quality leather.
best shoe/ worst made
I love my shoes they feel like they were made just for me takes the pain right out of walking. thumbs up to 5 stars
Now I wore my shoes one time and found that the material on the toes were coming off in flakes couldn't stand he thought of sending them back. So I used permanent marker and color and continue to color the bare spots. That would get the shoe a thumbs down. Love love love the shoe for comfort and I don't mind coloring the toe for comfort the price is way to high for what the shoe is made of.
I liked the look of these shoes in the presentation. But the minute I tried them on the support against my arch felt like there was a golf ball in there. Thought maybe I would wear them around the house and possibly get use to them. But the pain in my arches got worse. I did not realize they were not made of leather either. Way overpriced and I can't believe anyone could tolerate the discomfort. Sad to be sending them back and also pay for shipping. Thought Orthoheel orthotics would be beneficial for alignment but they are not. And I even bought the Mary Janes which have the same painful fit. Both in their way back.
Not the Prettiest Shoe
I ordered the black and, yes, just like my Orthaheel flip flops (which are CUTE and I LOVE!), they are definitely comfortable. I wear them to work every day, but they are most certainly not even close to stylish. My Clarks are way cuter. Not to mention, for the price, they absolutely should be LEATHER. I also do not like how the contrast stitching on the black shoe is white--cheapens the look.
I love the sandels....but I was noticing that the material they make the tops with seemed to not wear well. I LOVE what orthaheel does for my feet! When I bought these shoes and the material on the top started to fall apart and crack I could not believe my eyes, I felt cheated.... I could not return them as I bought them in the summer and didnt wear them yet.... I am very dissapointed! PLEASE change to leather uppers, the price of these shoes was not cheap but the material was! DON'T BUY THESE SHOES!
I have several pairs of the Orthaheel sandal's and LOVE them.
This shoe is very disappointing. The leather type material has cracked and
every so often the arch in the right shoe will really hurt my foot.
Great shoe made of bad materials
This is a REALLY comfortable shoe but it is made from a man made material and it is already shredding away. The material is peeling at the toe. This is really too bad because I really like this shoe. It is too late to return it because it is about 60 days out now. I would NOT buy these shoes again unless they are made from leather. The material of this shoe is just shoddy. Comfortable but not a good buy. I only rate this as a 2 because of the material defect not because of its orthotic comfort. It is a VERY comfortable shoe.
Don't hesitate to buy these!!
Just got my first pair of Orthaheels in blue -- they are awesomely comfortable and I will be a devotee of this brand in the future.
Wish the stitching was dark on all three colors. Don't like the white stitching on the navy and black ones. I'd get the black if it didn't have white stitching.
Need to be leather
These shoes are very cute and go great with jeans. HOWEVER.. They do not wear well. I only had them two weeks and the toe started to wear the finish right off. I wanted to keep them as I loved the feel and style but I was afraid that if the material started to give that soon what would it be like in a few months. PLEASE make some with real leather as most shoes of this price are.
hurt but cute
These are cute and if they fit right and felt comfortable I would have loved them. However, it truly felt like a golf ball in the middle of my foot, so clearly the orthotic is not right for me. I tried! I have now tried 4 orthoheel styles (including a slipper) -- I have the flip flops too but can only wear those for an hour or two at a time and not for walking distances or outside. If you CAN wear orthaheels, these are cute and would be great for running around and casual wear. (My foot problems are a healing broken 5th metatarsal and plantar fasciitis.)
Comfortable BUT....cheaply made
I am very disappointed in these shoes. The coating on mine is coming off already, and I have basically only worn them inside my house as slippers. Since they aren't leather, they must be coated in something, and whatever it is, it's flaking off on the seam around the toe of both my shoes. When I pay this kind of money for an Orthaheel shoe, I expect it to hold up under regular use, which my pair has not. Beyond the color flaking off mine, they are comfortable shoes. PLEASE Orthaheel, correct this defect of the color flaking off, or lower your prices to reflect these shoes are made with cheap materials. Mine are looking so bad at this point, that I can't wear them out in public.
