Vionic w/ Orthaheel Jane Orthotic Mules with Floral Detail
Way too wide
I have a narrow foot and hoped the adjustment at the side would make them wearable for me. Instead, to get them snug enough to stay on, the side strap was extremely uncomfortable. The whole toe area felt very boxy - you might say roomy. Too much room for a narrow foot. The look was unflattering also. By dropping half a size, my toes touched the end of the shoe. This was just altogether not a good fit for my feet. In would think they might be good for a wide foot, or swollen feet.
Best shoes ever
I have been having foot problems forever.broken toe, operations, screws put in. These shoes are great. The toe section is wider than regular shoes, they do not squish your toes together.
The realignment of the foot helps my knee and hip from hurting. If I could afford it I would get them in every color.
It has been years since I was able to walk with minimal or no pain at all.
I ordered another pair .
At least they ARE wide
I own other pairs of mules. I doubt that anybody would ever accuse any of them of being attractive shoes. Kind of goes with the territory. But these things are flat-out ugly. Whatever was the designer thinking? The floral detail doesn't help. I wore these around the house and they are comfortable - as are most mules - but they also make my feet sweat, which is probably due to whatever man-made material used.
In the end, I decided I really wouldn't wear them in public, which is a shame since there are a paucity of shoes out there in wide widths. Back they go.
I LOVE Orthaheel
This is my 3rd pair of shoes with orthaheel and have found that out of all the shoe brands I have, I wear Othaheel the MOST! I used to love Clarks but not even Clarks can hold candle to Orthaheel. These shoes like all of their others are comfortable the moment you put them on. Your feet feel energized and never tired even though Iam always on the go. Thanks for such an awesome shoe!!
These shoes are my favorite Vionic shoe. I have 2 pr. They are very comfortable. Wear with dresses or jeans, slipons are the best.
I just got these and wore them right off , so comfortable...I have problems getting shoes and these were perfect for me. They are super cute and a really good quality I will be getting these in more colors I got the red, so cute
Just not for me!
Oh how I hate to write bad reviews, but I depend on other's reviews when I buy on line.
I ordered these shoes last week even though i had sent another pair of orthoheels back a year or so ago. I just couldn't walk on them . They were so uncomfortable and painful. I've had 5 surgeries on my feet resulting from bunions problems.
I watched all the tv presentations and wanted so much to have these work for me so I ordered these. First I want to say, when I took them out of the box I couldn't believe how ugly they were. The bronze color was awful. When I tried them on I did what they suggested but after a few days they just didn't work. I couldn't tighten them enough to keep them without feeling too loose. Also, the toe area is soooo wide and orthopedic looking. The arch support just felt like a lump in the wrong place. I wear a 7 1/2 medium and these were 7's as they suggested. The size was accurate, they were just too loose---and ugly.
I am sorry to have to give up on orthoheel. They just aren't for me.
BTW I also ordered those comfy cute slippers which are going back as well because they are also too loose and I can't tighten them enough to keep them on comfortably. I envy all of you who are able to wear these shoes.
One more thing though, I only wear leather shoes and was amazed that most orthoheels are NOT leather. WHY?
Thought these were Leather..... Alll manmade material, which means they can't last and will most likely cause foot odoer. Not a good value, but Love the Thongs..
These shoes "kiss your feet!"
I just ordered these shoes in pewter. I have 5 pair of Orthaheel sandals. I have been waiting for a more closed in shoe from this company. I wear my Orthaheels everyday - all day. I used to have backaches by the end of a long day on my feet- but these shoes keep me from getting tired feet or backaches. I think they are the best invention since butter!
If you are looking for quality footwear that will kiss your feet everyday, these are the shoes. i get lots of compliments on the appearance of my sandals- I think because they do not look cheap or clunky - but very stylish, feminine and yet supportive. I am picky about heavy looking shoes but these are not like that. Easy to wear, easy to live in. BUY them today. You will be very happy! :-)
I have purchsed other pairs of Orthaheel and have really like them and really looked forward to this pair as I purchased them to wear as slippers during the winter months. Initially there was no issue with the mules but the more that I wore then the more the upper man made leather and straps stretched out of shape. It is now to the point that I can no longer wear them as my feet have a tendancy to slip out of the toe box and have twisted my ankles.
2nd Pair Not So Good
I've enjoyed the black ones of this style immensely. Needed another pair and
tried the blue ones. After a couple of weeks of trying to get them comfortable, I realized this shoe was 1/2" shorter than the black ones, hence not enough room in the toe box.
So said I must send them back.
I really like the wide width for the front of my foot, and appreciate the orthaheel arch/heel design as if improves posture. However, the heel section of the shoe is too wide. Somehow shoe manufacturers have forgotten that wide front of foot often goes with a narrow heel. I have to fasten the strap fairly tight to keep my heel from sliding around. There is no way I will try one of the designs that does not have a way to hold the shoe on, such as a strap. Having the heel of a shoe constantly rub up and down because the heel section of the shoe is too wide results in nasty blisters on the heel. Wish manufacturers were aware of this.
