Vionic w/ Orthaheel Alta Orthotic Mary Jane Slipper Shoes
these shoes are the most comfortable I ever had and I have bought different brands from QVC. The round toe gives you comfort for the toes. When you put them on there is no breaking in great right from the box. I recommend highly if you aren't sure try them. I have the tan & black, Orthaheels are stylish and many to choose from.
I was skeptical when I ordered these shoes because I just returned a pair of orthaheel lace up sneakers for being way too small in the toe area. I ordered my usual size in orthaheel and these shoes are perfect. I now own 4 sandals and 3 Mary Janes in orthaheel. I hope they redesign the sneaker.
Doing the Happy Dance
I got this in Tan size 6, fit perfect and will be putting this to use to wear outside with capris , jean and such..too cute. I am so looking forward to seeing new things, also wides..Ok now to why a 4, I had a hard time taking the paper out of the toe area, to remove it I had to take the insoles out and on one slipper it looks to have been cut, there is a small area where you can see they were made to have some kind of opening, guess for air? But the one has a norm area slit where the other was all the way to the side of the shoe..I'm not paying to return since you don't see, just hope I'm not sorry down the rd.
I love these shoes they are so comfortable and my back doesn't hurt while I am wearing them. I have 2 kids to haul around and I just get that extra energy I need to keep me going when I wear these shoes.
I received these as a Christmas gift. They were a little hard out of the box. By the second day of wearing them, they were very comfortable. I have a wide foot and these fit. I wear a 9 shoe to accomodate an orthotic. Normally I wear an 8 for other Orthaheel products. These are perfect.
Litttle larger toe box
Very comfortable after break-in. The toe box is a little larger. Well done. :) cb
Very Pretty Shoes
Just received the black one and they are so comfortable, no break-in time needed!
My New Favorite
I can walk now without pain. Cute comfortable and glad I purchased this slipper shoe. At first I thought they were too wide because my foot is narrow. After wearing them they formed to my feet. I now look forward to walking around the house again.
Thanks to the the review Pagan wrote, I purchased these slippers.
I too have plantar fasciitis (awful heel pain) and what a difference these slippers have made! I can walk around the house without limping. The arch support wonderful.
Many thanks Orthaheel!
I wear orthaheels almost every day. I agree with other viewers that this arch is a little tougher to get used to. After a break in period I can wear these with ease. I wear a ten and they are a little shorter than my others, however I can wear them all day now.I have two pair of these and wear them outside all the time.
The purple is adorable, but sizing off
I have three pairs of orthaheels in size 11. They fit great and I am used to the arch support. When I tried these slippers on, the arch support was almost painful--not at all like the support in my other orthaheels. They are also short. My toes hit the front of the shoe. They are not sized like other size 11 shoes in the same brand. Very frustrating. I also wish that the strap was velcro instead of elastic. I wanted so much to like these slippers! They are soooo cute.
Great slipper, takes a while to get used to them.
I'm a 7 (UK 4.5 / 5) and I ordered size 7. My feet are normal width (not narrow).
The slippers fit perfectly but having read one or two of the other reviews, I think it helps that I'm lucky to be neither overweight nor swollen footed so nothing digs in my skin anywhere and the elastic strap is just right for me despite having barely any 'give'.
It took me about 2 weeks to grow accustomed to the arch support. It feels entirely different to the Tide thong style I was wearing in the summer and which was a fairly quick adjustment. The Tide thing feels as if that great lump of arch support is only on the inner part of the insole. This slipper's lump feels like it goes all the way across to the far side of your foot and the lump's shape seems to start and finish more abruptly. It's like having somebody's finger lying horizontally across your shoe. You're very aware of this uncomfortable lump for quite a while and it made me a little wobbly on the first day.
For this reason, I don't think I would recommend this slipper unless you are deliberately trying to help or prevent foot problems.
I have plantar fasciitis from too many barefoot years on hardwood floors and these slippers definitely make a difference. I can now get up from a sitting position and immediately walk freely without hobbling like a goblin!
At first, I did notice that my leg muscles became a little tired at the end of the day. I think this is because my feet were now better aligned so I was working my muscles slightly differently.
