never again
Never again will I purchase an Oreck. I have had $50 Dirt Devils that have worked better. I am single, no pets, and live in a small apartment and this cannot even handle that!. I have had to take mine 3 times in the past year to the Oreck store to fix. I wish I could get my money back, but its too late.

worst ever
I am an old woman and have had many vacuum cleaners. This rates as Number 1 Worst. The canister can't even vacuum baby powder from a smooth cotton footstool. Forget cat hair on the furniture. The 2 vacuum cleaners in this set aren't worth the drive to the dump to get rid of them. I will put them out on the curb and some poor soul will take them.

Caution
Be warned do not try and vacuum up small pieces of paper or plastic with this machine.I have had it for three months and have already had to disassemble it four times because of blockage at the motor where there is a small right angle turn in the hose. Every time it was a small piece of paper of plastic blocking it off. With grand daughters who love to cut paper it is a big problem trying to clean up all the small pieces especially when the vacuum can not handle it. Should have kept my 49 year old machine it would pick up anything.

Oreck problems
I have had to open the motor twice to remove lint build up blocking the hose. There is a tight right angle in the hose near the motor that blocks easily when vacuuming my wool rugs. Also a lot of dust leaks around the back of the bag. Will never recommend the machine to any one.

Oreck Signature Plus II W/Canister
What an excellent value. I'm glad I made the purchase. I bought a dyson animal before which cost me almost 500 dollars didn't work as well and was a huge disappointment. I'm glad that I made the decision to buy this. My mom has had her oreck for 5 years and never had a problem with it. Great investment
