Nutrisystem Advanced Two-Week Take to Work Lunch Pack
Great to bring to work!
Over the last 5 months I've purchased 4 of these lunches. They are great to pack for work and much cheaper than the food in the cafeteria. Plus they are helping keep the weight off that I lost when on the full program. The meals are good. I just have two caveats, hence the 4 stars. I wish there was more food instead of so many bars. Secondly, 3 Fettuccini Alfredo's in one order is a bit much. Nutrisystem needs to add some different meals instead. Other than that I will continue to order.
This is my second order for the lunches. I have also ordered the breakfast pack. I find just grabbing a breakfast bar or cereal in the morning is quick and satsifying. I don't have the time for much else. The lunches are satisfying and tasty and makes it easy during the work week to grab and go. Will continue to purchase.
Quick & Easy and soooooodelicious
I thought the food was very good and quick; I was able to make it in my micro. oven.
With the weather being cold, I was warmed up with this product.
I don't know where that other guy got his ingredients from, but when I checked my bar, sardines, tilapia, anchovies was not listed in my food ingredients! I think the food is pretty good, you just got to plan your meals, big salads and veggies!! I do the weekends off, my first week so far so good! I would continue to buy!
PLEASE Get Some new lunches QVC
I really like most of the nutrisystem food .Really love the breakfasts and dinners but if you're on AD like me, with the same old fettucine alfredo, black bean , and split pea soup, they really get old month after month. Nutrisystem has other items that you could give us, I have checked ! Please change them or I might have to stop Auto-delivery. Wonder if I could do the dinners for lunch and just not have the extra protein? Might try that before next shipment
Tomato based foods are favorites
The chefs got the tomato based foods just right. Not too spicy, not at all bland. My favorite is the lasagna. Can't say the same for the chicken dishes, but the macaroni & cheese is tasty. Any diet with cookies, crunchies, chocolate and cheese is right for me.
This lunch pack has helped me tremendously. They are easy to take to work for lunch or to make on the weekends. At times I've used the lunch bars to replace the breakfast bars because they are higher in protein. (I sometimes need the higher protein due to reactive hypoglycemia.)
Fish based lunches
After the first day I was on NutriSystem (Thursday), I tried the Fettucine Alfredo for lunch and felt ill shortly after and upset stomache most of the afternoon. When I had the opportunity to check the ingredients I was disgusted to find out that it included tilapia, sardines, and anchovies. I would NEVER have purchased this if I knew that. When on the phone with the QVC representative before I ordered, she could not tell me the ingredients and they are not listed on QVC's Web site. Without that information readily available, I did not think that these items would include meat or fish-based items based on the titles (other than the ham and chicken dishes which are included in the product name). I checked the rest of the lunch assortment and EVERYTHING in the lunch assortment includes tilapia, sardines, and anchovies as ingredients (everything...even the chocolate raspberry bar, the fudge graham bar and the cheese ravioli). I have never eaten fish my entire life, and am very upset that these are ingredients in the lunches - that is most likely why I got ill, my body is not used to it. QVC does not handle exchanges on NutriSystem items. I am required to pay for shipping to return three weeks worth of lunches directly to NutriSystem and they will replace them with vegetarian lunches - the only option without fish based products. I haven't even taken it to the post office yet because I know it will probably be $30, at least (quite heavy with soups, etc.).
This pack is really not good at all!!! The only good thing in it was the tortellini. The soups were nasty with hard beans in it.
Great for Maintaining Loss
I've been on NutriSystem for over two months and have reached my goal weight. In an effort to maintain, I knew I could do a light breakfast (measure out cereal to match calorie count on the NutriSystem cereal) and eat a light dinner. Lunch, however, was my dilemma. This solved my problem. I happen to find the food satisfying. O.K., it's not gourmet, but I'm losing weight and can tolerate it just fine.
GREAT FOR LUNCH
I lost about 50 pounds on Nutri Systems but grew tired of the dinner menu. I have always liked the lunches. Even though I never used to eat breakfast, I have continued with the breakfast plan as well with the right portion control on cereal (usually curves or low fat granola). Being a working woman, taking the lunch, some fruit and fresh greens (and a cheese stick) to work helps me stay away from all the problem foods that could come up during the day and with the fruit and cheese stick snack in the afternoon, I have no desire to head for the junk food machine. I just need to get back on those dinners and lose the rest of the weight.
Please listen to the QVC hosts and check with your doctor before ordering NurtiSystem food! If you have edema or suffer from high blood pressure be sure to mention the high sodium content to your doctor. I had ordered the breakfast and lunch to make it easier through the work week, but when I looked at the back panel at the listings I realized that there was no way I could eat any of it. I gave it away.
If you can eat it - go for it!!
