Building upon the rich traditions of the Imperial craftsmen of Beijing's Forbidden City, artisan-crafted jewelry from China features exquisite filigree, repoussé, and wire work. Known for centuries as a source for gemstones, China is home to some of the finest cultured freshwater pearls. By utilizing techniques that once traveled along the famous Silk Road, Beijing artisans create jewelry that can only be described as wearable art.

In India, a cultural legend equates the adornment of the body with the rejuvenation of the human spirit. For thousands of years, Indian artisans have honored this tradition by crafting designs that convey their emotional connection to the world. Using inspiration from the clothing, painting, and metalwork, they create extraordinary works of art. Some are made in India's Pink City Jaipur, reflecting the city's rosy architecture. Our Treasures of India® collection showcases the emotional depth of India in sterling silver, gemstone, and 18K gold.

Reviving and nurturing a time-honored tradition. Throughout Indonesian history, artisans have handed down their intricate jewelry-crafting techniques to a new generation of independent artists. A "tukang" or Indonesian silver artist must be in the trade for 10 years before taking on their own apprenticeship. These artisans are held in high esteem and their creations are prominent on the area's cultural scene. Indicators of status and wealth, the earliest Balinese silver designs were created in the image of traditional gold jewelry. Today, Indonesian women use artisan-crafted jewelry to ornament their traditional dress. Our artisan-crafted collection from Indonesia features exceptional pieces that celebrate the past and present.

Mining historical influences to create modern marvels. Renowned for their sterling silver, the historical mining town of Taxco, Mexico is home to a group of talented jewelry artisans. Using intricate techniques passed down from generation to generation, these jewelry-makers draw upon the design aesthetic of the William Spratling era as well as today's trends. Explore and enjoy this collection of Taxco Traditions® jewelry.

From northern Thailand comes this artisan-crafted collection based on inspiration from the region's mountains and rainforests. Intricate repoussé work and woven chains set this collection apart.

Jewelry-making in the ancient area of Assyria has long been a tradition. Today, skilled craftsmen keep the legacy alive by performing special types of filigree work that's unique to Turkey. In this collection, you'll notice a unique style of silver-weaving called "telkari". Fields of almond trees in southern Turkey inspire many of the floral pieces as well as the architectural wonders of Istanbul.

Novica Artisan Crafted Sterling "Elephant Parade" Cuff 5 5 3 3
A beauty! Excellent Craftmanship! I appreciate NOVICA and Nat'l Geographic for bringing us such beauty from around the world I would not have had the fortune to see or wear. I am pleased others can still purchase this excellent and beautifully crafted bracelet. I purchased this piece a few years ago (just now writing a review) and love wearing it. Some weeks I do not take it off. After wearing this pc so many - many times, I still smile every time I look at this parade of stately elephants. Beautifully made. A very substantial work of art. Kudos to the craftsperson and creator !!! 02-18-15
beauty I bought this same exact cuff at a dept store that starts with a "k" and ends with an "s", I was surprised at how well this fit my wrist as I wear an 8 inch bracelet. My cuff seems like it has more oxidation but it is the same design and I really like it a lot and would definitely recommend it. 08-31-13
Finally! I have always been an advocate for elephants throughout my life. It's difficult to find elephant jewelry that have good depictions of elephants. Well, this bracelet is the one that I have been searching for! This exquisite, handmade piece, from Thailand depicts an elephant parade - a symbol of old Siam - with five elephants marching through a sterling forest. The detail on this bracelet is magnificient. I have been looking at this bracelet for a long time, and finally decided to take a chance. It appears that I am writing the very first review of this bracelet. I have a small wrist about 6 l/2 inches. You are able to bend this bracelet to fit you. It is not a light weight piece, but a substantial piece of silver. 03-28-13
