Northern Nights Providence 100% Cotton QN Coverlet & Sham Set
Love this coverlet!
I wanted something that was light weight on my bed for the summer months. This coverlet fit the bill. I ordered the blush pink, a true light pink. I am very happy with this purchase.
Well Made Coverlet/Shams
I really like this coverlet and shams, especially since I can wash it in my washer and not have to go to a laundermat. I placed a blanket underneath it and this is all I need to keep warm at night. I chose the pink and it looks more like a light coral. It did shrink a little since I probably had the temp too warm in the dryer. But now it fits just right on my queen size bed. Too big before washing. Hopefully will hold up well after many washings.
perfect in every way
fits a queen bed with ample drape - weight is just right and not too heavy - color is gentle and a true pink - the detail is remarkable - this is a beautiful set, with the matching shams
Keeping Pappy Happy
Purchased this for my Dad. Got the Sea Blue, a very soft greenish-blue. Such a soothing color that is ideal for a bedroom. My Dad dislikes blankets or bedspreads that feel heavy on him or trap in his body heat. So this cotton coverlet is perfect! Thin and soft enough that he is back to getting a good night's sleep again. He is no longer having his sleep interrupted because he became over-heated or needed to re-arrange or even remove his bed cover in order to get comfortable. It is a nice generous size and the quality of the fabric & stitching is good. Haven't washed it yet but don't expect any issues. To avoid any shrinkage from the dryer, I plan to tumble dry on a low setting until it's partly dry. Then remove it from the dryer to let it air dry the rest of the way. I will let everyone know the results. Also will definitely be treating myself to one next!
This is a very nice set - about the same quality you would find in a Belk or Kohl's store, so not top shelf, but very good. The plus for me was the availability of the dusty purple color. I have not seen this color anywhere else, and it is lovely. The pictures online, and even the video, do not show the color accurately. I am pleased with the muted purple, and happy with the purchase overall.
The coverlet arrived about 2 weeks ago. Since then the temps have plunged to single digits here. This is lightweight, but just right with a polar fleece blanket. I'm happy with the color; glad I read other reviews. "Blush" means peachy rather than pink. It's perfect for my room. I have not washed it yet. When I do follow the instructions and tumble it dry, I hope it won't shrink. The Queen size is generous and very nice at this size.
I have had this about a week. My main concern was that the Dusty Purple would be too dark as it is hard to tell on television. It is a nice lighter shade, not a dark purple. My main interest in this item was that it is all cotton, I really like the feel of it. As well, the quilting is very lovely and old fashioned looking. The size (another concern I had) is prefect. It comes down low enough to meet the bedskirt. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I orderd the coverlet and shams in lavender and could not be more pleased. Our bed sets quite high off the ground due to back issues. The coverlet drapes past the bed skirt on all sides. It is very hard to find one that comes close. The quality from Northern Nights always has exceeded our expections!! It is very well made. This would cost at least acouple hundred dollars in the store, that is if you could find one this nice and oversized and the weight is perfect. Our bedroom looks so appealing with the new coverlet. I would say buy one or maybe even more in different colors before they are gone. I love making the bed just to stand back and look at it!! So if you are looking for a coverlet set GET IT!! I would buy another one but I have many beautiful NN comforters for all seasons. My linen closet is full.
I PURCHASED THIS SET A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND I LOVE. VERY ROOMY, I GOT THE MOCHA
Love it!! I got this in the blue hoping it would be more of an aqua to match by bedroom and it is. It's gorgeous. You won't be sorry.
Actually, I would call it a peachy beige. The color is much different than the photo. I purchased the coverlet to layer with a pink quilt I own. When I saw the color in person, I was disappointed. Then I put the two together and it actually pulls out some of the peachy tones in my quilt that I hadn't seen before. I will have to study it for a few days to make sure it's going to work. It is nice quality. I ordered the queen size to put over a full size bed and it fits great. It almost touches the floor all the way around. It is also a perfect weight. Not too bulky. I really like it. Just wish it was a lighter pink like in the photo.
Wonderful for Muggy Summer Nights
I needed a coverlet made out of cotton so that I could sleep comfortably during humid DC summers. This summer has been especially humid. QVC's Northern Nights was the best value I could find, especially with the Easy Pay option. The dark lavender color is lovely, and fits my queen bed quite well. I tried this set for the first time last night, and slept wonderfully. Apparently, my kitty approves of them too, because when I woke up, she was sleeping very contently on the coverlet! I had the best night sleep I've had in a while--no more waking up sweating because of sleeping on synthetic fabrics. This is a great bargain and valuable addition to your linen collection.
