Rated 3 out of 5 by Disappointing I love cookbooks and I had high hope for this one. Unfortunately, I just didn't find any of these recipes very appealing. I can't really say why. I just don't think I would have very many of the ingredients in my house at any given time, so I would have to make a special trip to the store just to get the items I need. I prefer recipes that utilize everyday items in the kitchen. The book was well laid out though and easy to read. 06-05-16

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Cookbook I love this cookbook. It's very well made and has some very delicious recipes. I'm a cookbook collector, so I'm very picky about recipes. This one is a keeper! I highly recommend it! 04-02-16

Rated 2 out of 5 by mediocre Basic recipes anyone could figure out. I like the Darina Allen book much better. 05-21-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by So Glad I Finally Bought This! I cannot understand the negative feed-back on this one, although I guess I can appreciate the fact that we are not all expecting the same things. I expected a cookbook from an established chef who seems to really enjoy his work. I was no more expecting a tour of soda bread recipes than I would expect Julia Child to publish a book of nothing but crepe variations. Irish (and probably American, too) cooking has become diverse and interesting. I say, three cheers and five stars to Neven. 04-15-14
Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed Thought I was purchasing a traditional Irish cookbook, what was I thinking buy a cookbook on St. Patricks Day from an Irish chef. So disappointed back it goes. 03-25-14
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not for me. The book is beautiful & the recipes look really good, but it's not for my lifestyle . The major thing missing is the nutritional values of these recipes. That's important to me. A lot of ingredients are not in my kitchen & I wouldn't use in future recipes. I am sending the book back. 09-19-13
