Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheena59 Delicious, fast and easy!
I have tried at least 7 recipes from this book, several more than once, and they are all absolutely delicious! My husband is a hard core "Ragu" in a jar guy, however.... he absolutely loves the putanesco spaghetti, the chicken with feta rigatoni, and every other recipe that I have tried including the tuna with orchietta (sp?) pasta! Okay, the fact that my husband the picky eater loves these recipes tells me they are really, really, really good! The fact that they are really, really simple and fast, makes me love them just that much more since I'm the one cooking! This book is a keeper for me and I highly recommend it to everyone. I've never tried Michael's recipe's from any of his shows or books so I was hesitant to purchase, however, he's an IRON Chef for goodness sake so I felt I had to try and was pleasantly surprised and pleased!

Rated 2 out of 5 by bleslie Disappointed....
Ordered 3 of his books because I'm a fan of his and of his cooking on The Chew. I got one for myself and 2 as gifts. I received mine first. After looking at the recipes I was so disappointed to find recipes that included items that are far from my budget. Even though recipes only included a few items some were so simple that even a novice cook as myself thought "really?" this is a recipe and not just a presentation for a restaurant item? Well, sent the other 2 back should have sent them all since I will not be using mine. Not sure where he was going with this book but I certainly don't have a budget making a simple recipe for my family using this cookbook. I've ordered many cookbooks from QVC. Not one of my favorites.
Rated 1 out of 5 very disappointed
Based on the presentation I expected recipes with 5 ingredients that I could cook for 5 minutes.
Neither is true in this book, not to mention what others here have stated with regard to unusual ingredients being needed. The prep for some of the recipes will keep me from using the book as I had expected. There are a few I might try on weekends but overall I am disappointed.

I usually like Michael Symon but am not happy with this cookbook.

Disappointed! Love Michael Symon and his recipes on the Chew - However this book did not include more than 1 or 2 recipes that I would try. Too many recipes required nuts
(nut allergy) and/or special "trip to the store" ingredients which all seemed very similar. Disposed of all packaging so will dispose of this book and just continue watching Michael on the Chew as he always makes yummy recipes on tv - Too bad not Here!

Did not care for the recipes in this book. Would not eat most of them. Also felt there was a lot more ingredients than 5 in the recipes.

Like watching Michael Symon on TV so ordered this. Husband & I thumbed through it & really couldn't find even one recipe we wanted to try. Waste of $$ & now have to pay shipping to send it back.
Wouldn't recommend this book at all.

I ordered this book because I thought it would be really good. I will be returning it. The recipes in the book had a lot of things we don't eat and a lot of nuts in the recipes. Also it has a lot of things we don't have in the house. We eat simple things pasta, chili, beef, pork, etc. not sword fish and things like that. Just 1 - stars for us, others may like the book.
Rated 1 out of 5 by HLP who eats these foods
I received this book 4 hours ago, sat down and paged through it, half of the things I never heard of, half I have never had in my home, and all of it I found not one recipe I would make. This just isn't my type of food or cooking. However I have a Lady coming in the morning to pick up some things for a church flea market, and maybe there is someone around who might find a recipe or two to cook. I'm not that far from Cleveland, where did you find leeks.? Sorry I'm sure you are a good cook but this is not what we eat in my town. or in my home. On the plus side it's a very well illustrated book.
