What is it: An eye shadow kit that contains not only beautiful shadows, but the extra pro secret to a shadow look that lifts the appearance of the eye and avoids the droop that just a touch of misapplied shadow can create. Why is it different: The shadows are designed to deliver a beautiful ombre look, emphasizing the right parts of the eye. The tape keeps the user from drawing the eye down with misapplication.

How do I use it: Take the lightest eye shadow shade and apply all over, from lash line to brow bone. This is going to create a beautiful canvas for your shadows to lay upon, so you get that amazing ombre effect.

Next, the Shadow Tape guides you where you need to go, so application is quick and easy! Just apply a strip of tape to each eye from the outer corner to the end of the brow. Then, take the lid shade and apply from lash line to crease, using a windshield wiper motion. The tape will help you end your eye shadow in the perfect spot, giving the eye that youthful, lifted appearance!

Then take the darker shade and apply it in the crease for depth and definition. If you don't have a crease, just apply the shadow where you feel the top of your eyeball. Now, you can remove the tape, and take the darkest shadow and line all around the top and bottom lash line. Finish off by blending any harsh lines with your finger or a clean brush.

Colors misrepresented I love Mally shadows. However, customers should know that this is not a brown palette as described. The lightest shade is not beige, but pale pink; the lid shade is mauve-ish with a hint of brown; the crease color (the only matte shadow in the palette) is actually brown; and the liner color is a black plum. I need a matte brown so I will probably keep the kit and layer the other colors over warmer colors, but I would not have ordered this kit if I'd known it was plum-y instead of brown. I expect more accuracy from Mally and QVC. The shadows are nicely pigmented and the three shades that aren't matte aren't too glittery, which is important to me in my 60's. The colors are flattering enough, just not as described and not what I expected. 05-16-12

Beautiful....but Beautiful color quad, but a little too much glimmer on two of the shades. Mally please try in shades of muted purple or pink. 05-09-12
Best Brown Quad I have hesitated to purchase this for some time because of the price but am so very glad I did. I have been searching in vain for the perfect brown quad - if fact I have so many eye shadows it's almost embarrasing. These colors are beyond beautiful and exceptional quality. Most eyeshadow I feel like I have to layer and layer and layer to get the color saturation I want but not with this - a tiny bit goes a long way and the brush is perfect!!! I don't care for the tape though - it leaves a hard line, and unless you put your eyeshadow on first (which I don't) it pulls off your foundation which is easy to fix but annoying. I know where to stop my eyeshadow but I am sure to some they are helpful. 05-04-12
