Mally 5-piece Gel Nail Polish Remover Kit

Mally 5-piece Gel Nail Polish Remover Kit
product thumbnail
What is it: This removal kit provides you with all of the necessities you need to gently remove gel polish from your nails with no damage or distress.

Who is it for: Consistent users of the 24/7 Professional Gel Polish System.

Why is it different: It's a complete kit for removal of gel polish. The Soak Off Gel Remover is infused with lanolin for added moisture and conditioning during the removal process. The easy-to-use remover bowl is specially designed for complete comfort to the hand, and the remover tools help successfully complete the removal without damage or distress to the natural nail.

How do I use it: Soak nails in the remover bowl, filling it with about 1/4" with the Soak Off Gel Polish Remover. Pour enough of the remover so that nails are covered for soaking. Rest nails in the Soak Off Gel Polish Remover for up to 15 minutes. You will notice the gel polish will begin to flake off.

Once the gel polish begins to peel off, gently remove from the surface of the nail using the curved side of the cuticle tool. Be careful not to over-scrape or damage the natural nail. The gel polish should easily slide off. If the gel polish is being stubborn and not moving from the nail, simply repeat the soaking step until the polish removes easily.

Finish it off by applying Cuticle Oil to the cuticle of each nail, and rub it in using your fingertips. This will add moisture back into the base of the nail and provide a feeling of smoothness and conditioning to the skin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Had to have gel polish drilled off.... Just to be on the record, I love Mally's make-up. However, I bought the gel polish kit and followed the directions exactly. When it came to take the polish off using the system products, I could not. Not even after soaking in acetone polish for over an hour. I did call Mally's main office for advice and no one returned my call. Having my own business, that was a disappointment. I called QVC and did not have any luck, even though they were very polite. In short, I had to have the polish drilled off. Then, I could not wear any colored polish for 3 weeks. It took time to get the polish off and have my nails to recover, not to mention it was expensive to correct. Some people may have had good luck with this product, and that's great. I was really hoping I would, too. 07-11-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome!! Guess I am gifted. I soaked my nails for 15 minutes, did a little light scraping soaked another 5 minutes and off it all came!! I love you Mally and all your "stuff"!!! My nails are all doing fine! 12-31-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does What it Says I have read the reviews. I have switched my colors for the 3rd time. I always watch her dvd, just as a refresher. Very easy to apply. I am slower on taking it off, I am right handed, so slower with the left. I get better and quicker each time. I am glad I bought this. I do agree that the replacement product should be available cheaper and not in a group...e.g. I need more remover, and would like to get a new nail file, and I will have to get a new soaker dish that I do not need. I work in a customer service position, and my co-workers laugh at the amount of compliments I get. I am a great spokesperson for Mally and QVC xo 05-10-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by Please sell items separately !! I Love this gel nail kit and all products are gentle. I have no problems with application or removal. Only problem is getting refills on the main products. I would like to be able to purchase just the acetone (and other items individually) since I really do not need another soak tray and metal scrapper etc….and do not want to spend this much for all these other items I don't need. Since I can not purchase Mally's acetone without all the other items in this kit I too will be heading to a beauty supply store to purchase a $2.00 bottle of acetone. Also would like to see the acetone available in a bigger bottle. I hope Mally makes individual items available (in larger sizes too) in the near future! 12-24-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by removing polish without damaging nails I don't have a great deal of trouble getting my polish off. I soak nails in pure acetone in Mally's tray for under five minutes and then take a wooden stick I got from beauty supply store that is slanted on one end and pointed on the other and diameter of pencil. This wooden stick is gentle on nails and the polish comes off rather quickly after breaking seal near cuticle. I soak for a minute or two, scrape with the wooden stick from cuticle towards end of nail to get off all polishl I can and repeat several times until all polish is off. I have removed polish about five times now and it is not difficult this way and has not damaged my nails. 09-08-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Stuff, Just Need A Different Technique The remover works fine, but what you have to do is soak the remover on a cotton ball then wrap your finger in foil. Do this for all 10 then set your timer 15 minutes. The heat from your finger will then activate the acetone speeding up the process. Then when you take off the foil the polish can be easily scraped from the nail. In some cases it will come off in big pieces. Dont scrape hard. Very gently on the polish. If you go too deep you damage the nail bed. Then gently buff your nail and apply the cuticle oil. Looks great. 08-25-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Remover This remover is the best! For those of you having problems it sounds like your layers of polish are too thick. If you put on very thin layers as it says to do and then break that seal by filing off the gloss before soaking, you shouldn't have any problems. I learned this the hard way myself. Once I got the layers thin enough, it came right off. 08-25-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by LOVE THE GEL POLISH BUT..... You need to come up with a better way to remove this polish. I had to soak each hand for an hour to get this polish to even start coming off. Then I still had to scrape some of it off which obviously is not good for my nails. I went back to regular nail polish after the last 2 hours of removing the gel polish. 06-16-12
Rated 1 out of 5 by damaged nails I really tried to give this product a good try but have decided it just isn't good for my nails. I used to wear acrylic nails for years bur removed them 2 years ago. It took me 6 months to restore my nails from acrylic nails and now, with just 2 months using gel polish, my nails are just as damaged, weak and thin. I am returning this product and wanted everyone to know use at your own risk! 06-14-12
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible Process I received this with the entire manicure kit. I was undecided about the kit until I actually had to remove the polish. I soaked, and soaked and soaked. It was not easy to budge. I ended up scraping and filing and was not at all happy with how it left my nail bed. I really don't think I'm a true lover of this system at all. Plus therer are other systems out there that are less expensive and remove easier. I'm glad this works for a lot of people, it just doesn't for me. 05-23-12
Rated 1 out of 5 by Beware So many happy reviews about the nail system until you attempt to remove the gel polish. I will have to go and pay someone to help me and I am certain it will destroy my nails and it isn't even summer yet. Keeping polish on is a great idea, but not forever. I am SO sorry I painted my toe nails at the same time I painted my nails. WHAT A HUGE HUGE MISTAKE. Biggest mistake for me on a beauty item so far this year. 05-10-12
Rated 3 out of 5 by Soak Off Takes Patience I bought the Mally nail system and am thrilled with the results. I've had professional manicure for years and got tired to spending the time and money it takes every 2 weeks. I will agree that the removal prosess takes some time. I would love to see this part improved, HOWEVER, this biggest reason I love the system is that the polish STAYS ON and DOES NOT CHIP. I guess there has to be a downside and that is the time it take to soak off the polish--a small price to pay for two weeks of perfect polish! Please bring a French manicure color to the line. 05-07-12
