About Emme
Meet Emme: supermodel, TV host, best–selling author, lecturer, and clothing designer. No wonder People magazine selected her twice as one of the "50 Most Beautiful People".
Born in New York City, Emme grew up in Saudi Arabia, returning to the U.S. as a teenager. She attended Syracuse University on a full athletic scholarship. After graduation, she spent two years in Flagstaff, AZ where she was a reporter and morning anchor for the NBC affiliate KNAZ.
You may remember Emme from her days as the host of Fashion Emergency. But when she signed with Revlon, she became the first full–figured model to be awarded a cosmetics contract. Emme is also the first full–figured woman to have a doll sculpted in her likeness.
Emme is a big advocate of staying fit and healthy, and she increases awareness about eating and body–image disorders. She was the first model to speak about these issues before a congressional sub–committee in Washington, D.C. Emme is also the chair ambassador of the National Eating Disorders Association and national ambassador for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
